Utter junk - two out of two instances came defective
The first bow wasn't strung correctly at all, which I eventually rectified by poring over the pictures to figure out how to route the bowstring. But the first draw popped the string off the pulleys, so I got a replacement from Amazon. That one came strung correctly but again the first draw resulted in the string coming off again. The two side arms on both upper and lower pulley won't stay parallel so any force drawing the bow results in twisting the pulleys out of the plane of the draw and ensures the bowstring will come off no later than the release.Neat idea, terrible execution, save your money!

Nice little toy

Works great, much fun. Requires responsible use. A toy, but only just
The media could not be loaded. As others have commented, while this is a toy, it isn't really a toy. Or it is, but only in the right hands and under the right supervision. I ordered the smallest of the bows and it still easily thunks a not particularly sharp arrow solidly into a cardboard box from five or 6 feet away. Please see video. Seriously, please see video. The bowl comes prestrung and with an extra string. One of our strings was off the pulley upon arrival; so it may be shipped lightly loose or it may have just slipped. We easily put it back on and it has not slipped again. The bow is a completely functional, metal, tiny crossbow. The arrows are easy to load in from the front and to keep on the rest and while it is probably only a five or 6 pound pole, if that, pulls back quite far and shoots the arrow with enough force to hurt if aimed at flesh. Don't, I repeat don't, I repeat don't again give this to small children or practical jokers unsupervised!! I mean it!Speaking of the arrows: they are very simple. The shaft is just a smaller plastic hollow straw-like tube, and the arrow tip slides into one end. Note that, as I show in the video, the shaft is not notched for the string. I had trouble with that, because it is small enough that I had trouble keeping the string in the right place. I ended up grabbing a box cutter with a new blade and cutting the notches in the ends myself. It only took me about 30 seconds an arrow. It isn't a big enough deal to knock a star off for, but I do recommend doing that to prevent arrows going helter skelter. In short (or in long) this is a fun "toy" for adults and supervised children! Just be careful.

Awesome for the price point.
I mean at the 15 dollar price point, for a miniature item, I think this is a high quality item... Not perfect by any means, but it gets a lot of things right. First off quality of materials is very good, this is mostly machined out of steel, with steel spring limbs, the few pieces that are not made from steel are just plastic for friction areas or as bushings to separate steel parts, which is totally fine. Overall design is pretty good, indeed it is a compound bow, though it does not have proper cams, just pulleys. The arrows leave a bit to be desired they are basically just plastic tubes with small stamped out arrow heads that are dull, which is fine for an item like this there's not a lot of purpose to having too sharp and dangerous of an arrow except for causing accidental injuries and damage to items in the house. The bow shoots well, so long as your expectations are in order. It's very small, don't expect to be able to do much proper aiming, but you can sortof "fire from the hip" as get into the general ballpark of where you want to hit, I do wish they had at least put a knocking point into the rear of the arrows, feathers or some type of fletching would have been nice also, but again hey at this price point and size for a minature item - I am pleased with it, it doesn't feel like junk and that's more than what I expected.

Hilarious little toy
This thing is a cross between a fidget, a toy, and a deadly weapon. The construction is good, the supplies are very good, and the darts actually can do some damage if not used responsibly. I like it and I have it on hand while I'm working when I need to take out some frustrations.
