RTM quality is unmatched in the reel to reel world. It's no wonder that these cassettes are so good. They are a shining star in the malaise of new cassettes...with Type II and IV tapes long gone, the best anyone can hope for is a manufacturer making a good tape. THIS IS THE TAPE. If you have a high end deck and insist on new tape, you won't be disappointed by these. Both this and the 60 minute version are solid. Calibration on a high end deck tells most of the story. It's not a superferric, but it does have a high MOL and a very consistent coating. Background hiss levels are acceptable, especially considering the MOL. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Great sounding. Reminds me of BASF type 1. I record without Noise Reduction and bury the source slightly hotter than normal. Works like a charm.

Good to great....very nice type one tape. Would and will buy again. No problems with playing, good solid feel.. I haven't taped since he earIy1980s. Then used the best non metal TDK and Maxell had. I did do a careful listening on my refurbished Teac deck. Used Steely Dan song aja original CD. Sounds grrrrreeeeaaat! Compared this tape with Maxell type two? XII-S and Maxell type one UR. The Maxell type two was a clear winner. I used the correct Bias, I hope. The RTM C 90 wasn't disappointing and will cont. to use as long as tape shortages last. The Maxell UR was a bit better at mid range. The RTM handled the highs and lows very well. Actually was surprised at the tapes I tried in contrast to what I've been hearing. I really appreciate a good Type one tape as the RTMs. I will not pay the steep prices for a quality metal tape..now off to TDK land for a test.

So I purchased the 3 pack of RTM c90 blank cassette tapes I heard a lot of good reviews about them so I ordered them so the first one I opened I put it in my cassette deck to get it ready for recording I always fast forward and rewind a tape so I know there's not any slack in the unit when it got to the end of the tape the tape got tangled inside and I carefully open it because there was five screws to access my wife helped me put it back together so I proceeded to record from a CD and at the end of the tape it did it again just recording so I threw it away was pretty disappointed in that one so I opened the second one fast forward it and then rewound it and then I recorded side a and side b and that one seems to be okay very good quality sound not sure what happened with the first one I guess just a defective unit.

These are great tapes! Very low noise, even without noise reduction Dolby B/C initiated. These are so much better than what I used decades ago. (like 4 decades ago) Is the price a little higher yes, is it worth it definitely! If it’s in your budget get these.

Outstanding tapes. Finally got to use them. Crisp, clear, no dropouts as some others have reported. Range is great w/or w/o Dolby NR. Only complaint is the cost.

I had some cassette that work great, on it, only 1 unit it suck this tape & that unit work great to but not with this tape weird!!

Musicassette a mio parere eccellenti. Sono arrivate ognuna protette da una scatola di cartone. Ho notato subito la qualità delle custodie che sono leggermente più spesse di altre in commercio. Il case è robusto è ben fatto chiuso da 5 viti per un eveltuale smontaggio. Nella parte bassa vi è un rinforzo di plastica nero come guida del nastro che impedisce vibrazioni nella lettura, accorgimento mai visto in altre cassette. Sto duplicando da vinile e il suono è ottimo in tutti i registri, non si nota una minima perdita forse un pochino solo nel registro acuto ma niente di eccessivo! Quello che mi ha colpito maggiormente è la qualità costruttiva. Sono molto soddisfatto e consiglio l`acquisto, restituiscono un suono pulito senza rumori di fondo, anche nel riavvolgimento rapido sono molto silenziose più di altre marche quotate. Che dire ne farò una scorta col tempo!

Auf meinem AKAI Studio Tape sind keine Unterschiede zum Abspielen direkt von der LP zu höhten. Im Vergleich zu allen anderen Kassetten um Längen besser. Sehr hoher Preis aber sehr hohe Qualität. Werde nur noch diese benutzen.
