I have modified and restored countless Game Boys and other consoles over the years and Extreme Rate is definitely one of the better manufacturers when it comes to after market shells. The shells feel nice to the touch and everything fits nicely with even seams.

Bad quality screws or srewdrive caused i scratch grey display cover and now it doesnt look nice :( For the price with postage, I'm disappointed...

Modèle Classic 1989 GB DMG-01 Points positifs: - Kit très complet - Plastique de bonne qualité - Peinture soignée - Pas de défauts de fabrication - 3 jeux de boutons de couleurs différentes au choix - Bien emballé - De la visserie en plus Points négatifs - La qualité des tournes vis laisse à désirer, il vaut mieux en acheter de meilleur facture pour éviter d’abîmer les vis - Il manque la bague de rétention pour la vis du cache de la batterie. Elle n’était pas sur les photos donc c’est normal, mais son inclusion aurait été apprécié. Il suffit de récupérer celle du modèle d’origine donc ce n’est pas trop grave. En conclusion je recommande ce kit, la conversion est très simple et le rendu est excellent! À noter: il faut récupérer les charnières du modèle original, en plus de l’écran et du circuit imprimé.

This GBA sp shell replacement is ABSOLUTELY amazing for the price. It’s high quality, feels amazing. As well as has a nice matte finish and feel. It was easy to put together as it comes with everything you need, it even comes with a replacement sticker for the model number underneath. Really high quality shell, would definitely buy another for a second project!

I didn’t use the included buttons/pads (I was switching from an original shell so I just reused everything I could. The instructional video is great, like others mention the hinge pins are the pain point, I did follow the videos instructions and that worked fine. The shell seems well made, it’s more of a matte/rough finish compared to oem, not that that’s bad. It looks really striking though, really impressed overall!
