Absolute Game Changer for Smart Home Automation & Security
I purchased five of these THIRDREALITY Zigbee Multi-Function Night Lights to build a sophisticated lighting architecture in my home, and they are absolutely brilliant. While they work flawlessly as standalone motion-activated night lights, their true power is unlocked when integrated with a smart home hub like Home Assistant. I have configured these to act as dual-purpose ambient status indicators. They stay on at a very dim 1% brightness all day, providing a quick, unobtrusive visual cue for the home's security state based on color—🟢 Green means secure, 🔴 Red indicates a perimeter breach (door/window open), and they even cycle through 🟣 Purple and 🔵 Blue based on specific security scenes I've set. However, when motion is detected in a zone after sundown, the nearest light immediately brightens to 25% white to safely light the way, automatically reverting to its status color after 30 seconds. Beyond their clever programming, they are technically robust. They paired instantly with my Zigbee network and act as reliable repeaters, significantly strengthening my home mesh network. Considering they offer so many options for advanced customization as indicator lights, they represent an excellent value for the low price. Highly recommended for anyone looking to bridge the gap between simple automation and comprehensive home security visualization.

Beautiful Sleek and Smart Night Light
The Multi-Function Night Light is a stylish and practical addition to any home. Its easy installation and quality design make it a hassle-free setup that promises durability and multiple benefits of function that looks great and delivers tons for the low cost. The convenience of this smart night light is unparalleled, responding quickly to movements and changes in light intensity. With versatile lighting modes and the ability to serve as a motion sensor and RGB color night light, it offers a spectrum of options to suit various needs as well as extending your zigbee hub network reach. Just remember, a Zigbee hub is required for smart system integration. Overall, a reliable and versatile lighting solution that adds a lot of function with a great tough elegance that helps it fit in much better than other devices in this class, blowing them away for price, function, and appearance. Works great in SmartThings/HA/Hubitat and helps function for us a a beautiful notice indicator with the light, a night light, weather indicator, mode indicator, zigbee extender, and motion sensor. Couldn't ask for a better smart home product if you're looking for a motion sensor this has that and much more at a great cost, I plan on adding many more.

Versatile and Reliable Night Light with Smart Features
I recently purchased the THIRDREALITY Multi-Function Night Light 4 Pack, and I am extremely satisfied with its performance and features. Setting up these nightlights was a breeze. The light they provide is adequate without causing any eye strain, thanks to the adjustable brightness. The motion detection is also very responsive. I’ll be able to expand my Zigbee network throughout my house with these nightlights. I also appreciate the additional features, such as the illumination sensor and the RGB color night light. The ability to set different colors and brightness levels is a great bonus. Overall, this is a versatile and reliable product that I highly recommend.

Excellent routers, so-so nightlight...
Pros: * Simple install and adoption with Z2M. * Rock-solid router, actually managed to improve an already very strong mesh. Cons: * The default, out of the box, configuration for the night light and motion sensor are lackluster. Locations: * Kitchen counter by the fridge * Top of the stairs * Entry to a living room * Basement corner by a walkout door Technology Environment: Home Assistant OS virtualized on Proxmox. ZigBee2MQTT running alongside HAOS. A single SMLIGHT SLZB-06 as Coordinator and two SLZB-06 units as primary routers. Experience: Effortless to install and get adopted into my mesh. These replaced a couple of smart plugs, also from THIRDREALITY, that had been strategically positioned to strengthen the mesh. Those plugs will be downcycled into other automation projects. Mounted at normal US outlet height, the "night light" features are less than stellar, producing a semi-circle of light with a radius of ~4-5 feet. For the areas where we used them they are enough to make sure that we are not tripping on any of the myriad of toys the children leave scattered. Under the out of the box configuration, the motion sensor features leave a bit to be desired, as the detection radius seems to be about double the light radius at ~8-10 feet. These maybe just barely clear the hurdle to justify the additional expense over another device with a built in router. I have some ideas to use the LED color during the day as a status or indicator light for other automations; if those pan out, the value proposition of these goes way up, and I may give these another star. However, if you are really looking for night light functionality, and do not need smart / automation features beyond a simple motion-activated night light, then you really should look elsewhere.

Work great with HomenAssistant, the form factor a motion detector is awesome. Would love to see a mmWave version.

Amazing field of detection on this thing, it will see you come from quite far. We're using it in an hallway and it is perfect for us. It even detects the cat when it goes to use its litter box. Integration with Home Assistant was also very quick and painless.

Works fine with zigbee2mqtt. I found near instant sensor updates on motion or room lux changes, same for response times to changes to light color or state asked of it. Works great with Home assistant. I'll be rolling out more of these to stop replacing batteries in legacy zigbee battery based PIR devices.

These work perfectly with Zigbee2MQTT and Home Assistant. I use them to trigger lighting automations—it’s ideal for nighttime routines. I love Third Reality products and already own several. Their devices are consistently dependable, easy to integrate, and thoughtfully designed. This one’s no exception.

Bought three of these units to cover the halls in my home. Zigbee unit, not Matter. I started using them with Alexa served by a Eero router. They were immediately recognized and showed up as a Light with the ability to turn on and off, change color and brightness. The unit would act as a motion detected night light when the room was dark, and would respect the colour and brightness I had selected within Alexa. I did notice that if I manually turned them on from Alexa, the motion activation would not be active for a period of time. Unplugging and plugging in the unit would restore the nightlight function immediately. So, it would seem the light intensity and motion detection worked, but only for the automatic nightlight function. I subsequently moved to Home Assistant using both ZHA and z2m Zigbee connectivity. The nightlights in both HA access methods provided much more detail for automation purposes, including Illuminance in lux, and motion detection. Firmware details were also provided ( note, the part number is 3RSNL02043Z ) and I was able to update the firmware as needed. As expected z2m gave the most details of the two HA methods. In practice both methods give the same values to be used for advanced automations ( on/off, lux value, mtion detected, color, brightness ). The nightlight function worked as in Alexa and has the same behaviour after turning it on manually ( takes some time to return to automatic nightlight mode ). There seems to be no control available for the automation nightlight feature: no reset ability and no setting of the ambient light value for nightlight use. In my use this wasn't an issue, the default mode works fine. Final note, these devices act as Zigbee routers so they may help extend your Zigbee network. In summary, the zigbee connectivity works well in Alexa, and in Home Assistant ZHA and z2m, unit acts as a Zigbee router Alexa control is limited to on/off and colour setting and brightness. Home Assistant usage adds lux value, motion detection and firmware OTA upgradability. The nightlight feature seems to work independent of any automation control, but does respect the colour and brightness you set. I highly recommend these units, especially if used in Home Assistant ( and in Alexa with some limitations ). I'm now looking at ways to use them as visual alarms for other automation detections ( turn them on as red when a water leak is detected by another sensor in the HA automation ).
