If your dog is between sizes, we recommend choosing the larger of the two to ensure a comfortable fit. SUITABLE FOR SMALL BREED DOGS ONLY. Review: Fantastic doggie fleece ! - Fantastic fleece! I ordered an XL for my Shih tzu Oscar - he is quite a big boy though compared to others, so fits him snuggly, but without being restrictive. It’s extremely well made, and I no longer have to use his harness, as it has a back metal loop with no joint or gap and is extremely sturdy. He can be lively when walking, and this holds him securely. The material has some stretch to it. however, not too stretchy that he’s coming/ pulling out of it. It covers all his chest, has large leg holes which allows natural movement without compromising his joints, also has a V front under his chin which allows him to sniff the ground (his favourite) he can do this easily without it digging into his throat. It’s about the same thickness as an average human fleece (we know how toasty they can be, as they keep the wind out ). Much warmer and nicer than a usual jumper. I will definitely be ordering more. Review: High quality. Love it. - This seems to be a high quality item. I purchased the brown one after my poodle cross had to have her hair cut quite short and was getting chilly at night. She's never minded having it on (she's not fussed over coats etc, in general though). There's not a lot of give in the fabric, so do keep that in mind for getting the legs in, but the quality seems good. It's been on multiple trips through the wash and no damage so far that I've seen. Purchased the pink one as well shortly after this one arrived as I could tell it was a good item and it fit well. I feel it would benefit from a harness hole instead of the ring on it, personally. I wouldn't trust it as a harness in and of itself. My dog's an excited puller though (if a small one), and a wriggler who's managed to get a leg through her harness before and has gotten out of her collar on a couple of occasions (thus the harness). I've tried putting her harness over it, but the fabric ruches up oddly, so that doesn't really work unfortunately. Recommended highly as pj's or for warmth. Not so much as a harness.
