This step is very stable. I love that it adjusts to two different heights. My 97 year old mother who is short and has osteoarthritis in her hips & knees uses this to get in my car (Honda CRV) and at hotels with fairly high beds. It's hard to find a stool this low as it is difficult for my mom to raise her left leg high enough to get in the car. Other stools work but they are too high. This is the perfect height and it's very stable w/ a larger step and non-slip top. When you suffer from hip & knee pain, that lower step makes a big difference and my mom is able to get into the car a lot faster with the assistance of this step. Worth every penny! It also easily adjusts to a higher height if you need to step up to a higher car, etc. I store it on the floor of the front or back seat of my car since it's small & flat enough. Light too!

I got this stool to help my elderly mom get into my minivan. She had great difficulty reaching the seat --but not anymore. The stool is very stable with 5 sturdy feet. It has stayed perfectly in place when stepped on. I was surprised at the high quality of the stool material which should last a long time. I got the black and white version to help with my mom's low vision, and that also has helped a lot.

This product is well worth the price as it is of sturdy construction and fits my needs. In my late 70s with arthritic knees which makes stepping into a bathtub difficult as I have to raise my my feet/legs to step up and over the edge. Which means that I figure out if I can step up then over I could easily get into the tub I bought this sized product as it an provide two heights. One height is the legs retracted then the other is with the five (5) legs extend. That is the way I use it. Five sturdy legs extend. The fifth one is under the center which means that your weight is supported by the four corner ones plus the enter one and that makes the platform very study. Made of plastic so no problem using it where water is.

A must to prevent falls

Wish I had found this a long time ago. Our oddly designed shower has a high step up onto a ledge and then down onto the shower floor. It was fine until a few years ago, when a chronic degenerative spinal condition began making me feel off balance and unsafe getting in and out of the shower. This stool is perfect. For now it is all I need, and if necessary in the future, a walker will fit right over it to provide extra security. The rubber non-skid bumps on the platform surface are really hard on bare feet, but if someone was using this to get into a car on a snowy day, those grips would be essential. I just fold a bath towel on the platform and that provides the cushioning I need. The legs are easy to adjust and do not slip or slide, and the stool is virtually impossible to flip - I tried by putting all my weight on one side, but it stands firm.

Perfect step stool to give a boost to Nana to get up into the car and another to get up into bed. Solid so she feels safe.

What’s not to like, construction is superb! Item is made using materials that will last a long time. It’s perfect in a laundry room or kitchen, or anywhere where storage space is at a premium. Perfect height. Not too high. I use it for the dogs right now to get out to the balcony but also use it to help my mother-in-law get into the car. Compact and sturdy. I think it might be adjustable too but I have never had to adjust it.
