This set of Sight Words includes 5 packs for pre-K, kindergarten, and Grades 1, 2, and 3. They contain 220 words from the Dolch List which makes up quite a bit of your average English speaker/reader's vocabulary and more than half of the words that an elementary child would see in books for their age range. The cards are printed on sturdy laminated cardstock with the word on one side and an example of that word in a sentence on the other side. There is a colorful illustration of the sentence as well. I like that the cards are separated into age-appropriate packs and are color-coded by the pack. This is a very nice set.

These are a nice set of first word cards for pre k through grade 3. They do not exactly match the standard high frequency sight word lists and many of the words attributed for pre k are actually from the kindergarten list. That said as an ex teacher of kindergarten and grades 1-3 these are useful and do cover all the key words plus some extras. They are double sided - one with the word isolated and the other side with the word in a simple sentence with a picture context.

This is a great set for your Preschool-3ed grader. My daughter is in 2nd grade, and so we went over previous years of sight works, but it also goes with what she is learning this year. I usually will get some flashcards and write down her spelling words, but these save time and hassle and are easy to read, and are durable cards. They also have sentences on the back to use the words. It makes learning fun and I'd recommend this set to any parent of a little one. I'd rate this a 10 out of 10.

There are 5 packs of cards divided by grade level. The Pre-K has 40 words, Kindergarten has 52 words, 1st grade has 41 words, 2nd grade has 46 words and 3rd grade has 42 words. The paper is thick and good quality. The print is good and distinctive. One side has a word, the opposite side allows the kid to use the word in a sentence. Double practice. I love that! Plus there are pictures to help with reading as well. Good quality study material.

My 6 year old is dying to learn how to read. He’s been working really hard to associate letters with words and sounds. These cards are nice in the visual aspect because they show the words in big bold lettering. He can then pick out the “o” and “n” and say on. These will be very helpful in his reading journey. The practice sentences are a bit beyond him but I’ve noticed it does help him place words when I read that word in the sentence.
