Good little clock for travel
Great little clock. I use it with the “dim screen” mode on so it is illuminated at night and I have not had to change the batteries after 6 months. It is very easy to set and I like the easy on and off for each individual alarms. It has a nice alarm that beeps progressively longer (not louder) as the alarm goes off and also has a snooze mode. The atomic clock function works “ok” but one time it grabbed a different time zone and set itself to an incorrect time that was 2 hours off. Since then I have just left it set to manually adjust the time. It travels well, but is slightly thicker than I expected. I wish there was a protective cover for the front. This is a good clock overall and a good value for the money. It is easy to read as well.

I was wrong in my 1st review. This is a really nice clock! It does light up in the dark. It does DST
The clock isn't lit unless you hold down a button on the top. You can't read it in the dark without sitting up at least partially. When I set it up, it set for DST. It was 1 hour behind. I've had 2 other atomic clocks (They were larger) that you could set for DST. You would do this even if DST was over for now so that the clock would automatically reset to the correct time when the spring or fall came. This clock doesn't do that. I bought it so it could be read in the dark.

Nice product, but self-adjusting function only work in the US
This clock is fine, and the price is very reasonable. My only problem with it is that the self-adjusting function is region-specific and does not work in my country (Israel). I was hoping maybe it would, as I've seen a similar atomic clock here that does.

Cheap Chi-com
It lasted through one set of batteries. The batteries were not corroded, but the contacts and spring negative contacts were another story. Contacts were cleaned, and batteries voltage tested. No joy in Mudville Chi-com slave labor typical

All the features I need - See update on performance issue
I really like this clock. Due to the location of where I need the clock, I don't expect it to be receiving any radio signals. It is keeping accurate time. It is a good size for where I need to keep it. It has a nice display and all of the features I need, unusual to find in a small clock: month, day, date, temperature. The fact that it takes 2 AA batteries means it is fully powered as contrasted with clocks that take only AAA batteries. As far as setting, there are not 1 but 2 enclosed brochures with clear step-by-step instructions, making setup fast and easy for me. I also like the push button on the top so I can refer to the time in the dark. UPDATE 1 April 24, 2024 Although I keep this clock in a location where I'd not have expected radio signals to reach it, I did leave the radio control on in the settings. For a few weeks it kept perfect time, and the display showed the clock was picking up the radio signal. The clock also switched itself to Daylight Savings Time without my help. So far, so good. A few days ago, however, I noticed the clock time was hours off and the day and date were incorrect. Went into Settings and it appeared that the time zone I'd set had changed on its own. The batteries were new but replaced them and reset everything from scratch. Next day again the day, date, and time were all off. Went into Settings and disabled the radio control. So far, the clock is again keeping the correct time but now there is no radio control. Not sure what happened to cause the issue, after the clock had worked perfectly for the first few weeks.

So So Atomic Clock
I have mixed feelings about this clock. On the one hand, when it is able to get a signal the Atomic part of it works great. However, even in open areas with little to no trees around to interrupt it, the two that I have had are constantly resetting back to 12am or will show the incorrect time. The auto light is nice on it, and again when it can hold the signal it works great but I have had 2 of them now and both after about 3 to 4 months stop receiving the signal and have to be manually set, which defeats the purpose of getting an Atomic Clock.

Accurate, self-setting atomic night table alarm clock, easy to operate
Positives: Accurate, self-setting atomic night table alarm clock, easy to operate. Well-engineered, well-constructed and well-finished. Have 2 in service for ~6 weeks, like them so much I bought a third. Unlike some atomic alarm clocks sold by Amazon, there is no overly bright colored display to distract you from sleep. Unlike some other atomic clocks, there is no difficulty getting the time signal from Fort Collins; instructions are clear that the signal is sent at midnight and 1 am, during which time the setting functions (buttons) on the clock don't work for about 5 minutes. Accuracy matches my GPS-powered watch and car clocks. The alarms (there are 2) are activated by slide switches on the side of the clock that are either up or down; no fumbling with which button to press on top of or on the rear of the clock as with many others. Negatives: Display isn't so easy to read with light in the room if you choose (as I do) to activate the "auto-dim" feature, which saves battery life and shows a readably bright display only in a dark room or in a very bright one. That doesn't bother me, since I have a bigger atomic clock across the room that gives me the time if the room is slightly lit. The alarms aren't particularly loud; might not wake you if you wear earplugs or need a hearing aid, although they do become increasingly insistant if you don't turn them off promptly. Summary: For me, they are as good as it gets!

Seems like a decent clock and does pick up the atomic clock signal albeit sporadocally. The downside is it does not have eight time zones as advertised but the only settable zones are UTC -8, -7, -6, -5, making the clock utterly useless outside North America. It is possible to set the time manually but then why not buy a Braun clock for half the price.

The backlight feature was the deal maker for me. To be able to glance at the time when I wake up in the middle of the night. Getting old now and end up needing to go washroom...every night. Checking time with my cellphone is dangerous because I end up checking emails, checking the status of my Amazon orders, etc. Honestly, there must be something wrong with me.HaHa! But being retired, not having a good night sleep which can affect work, doesn't apply to me. This clock also uses AA batteries which I prefer over AAA or 9volt. I paid 10 dollars more to get the atomic clock syncing because where I live I get reliable nightly reception with my old Casio gshock. For travel,I don't feel it's that big of a deal. I am going to Hawaii in 2 weeks and I know it's out of range and I am not wasting my time to see if I can. I know Hawaii is 3 time zones away and I know I am going to wake up 3 hours early. So I want to set this clock to Hawaii time, in the hotel room to remind me I should stay in bed 3 hours more. My watch is an Omega automatic and I don't want to bother setting to 3 hours back for a 1 week trip. Just going to rely on my Samsung cell to tell local time. So I'll give it 5 stars because I can't find any faults yet. I didn't pick up a signal last night..I just got it yesterday and I am not 100% sure I turned on the syncing feature properly or I might have not oriented the clock just so. Trust me... it can be finicky. Vancouver is on the outer edge of coverage and you have to find that sweet spot to get the ionosphere bounce much like how the old ham radio work. Electrical devices nearby can screw up reception.Weather too, so what worked yesterday, might not work tonight. It's not as reliable as getting your home wifi signal or getting a cell phone signal. So you see, if you don't get the 30 dollar one like me,you won't have to fret about not getting your clock to sync. Generally the better quartz modules stipulate 15 seconds per month to be plus or minus. So thats .5 seconds per day anyways. I think the average person could careless about. Hell, even my local radio station is off by about 10 seconds with their hourly time tone. So having the exact time only gives me bragging rights to claim some ownership of something that's almost perfect when in reality, nothing runs on time in my world. People don't get to work ontime, airline flights aren't ontime, stores don't open ontime, buses don't run ontime, doctor appointments aren't ontime,Amazon deliveries not ontime. Jim from Vancouver.

Muy buen reloj, lo he usado ya por varios meses y funciona muy bien. No se ha sincronizado automáticamente con el horario pero supongo que no es problema del reloj. La retroiluminación nocturna es muy buena y no molesta demasiado para dormir.
