It doesn't even ask if the battery is genuine, it just works from switching on. I've tried it with older, cheaper ones I bought from ebay and they ask if it's a genuine battery, as it cannot read it, and to proceed at my own risk. This one must be fully decoded as no need to do that, and finally I can have AC power with my R7 without paying Canon a HUGE amount of money (About 5 times the price of this in some places!). Absolute scam and I hope they hardly sell any. I like Canon cameras, but their prices for accessories are criminal.

I do like my Canon cameras, but when it comes to accessories they really do price gouge. They charge £240 for this, as you have to buy both the Canon DR-E6 DC Coupler and the AC-E6N AC Adapter, at £120 each. This replacement is all-in-one and does the job so perfectly. I bought two, partly because I have two cameras, but also for some redundancy. As others have noted (although this isn't isn't an issue with this product itselt), do ensure the cable goes in the correct place through the little flap on the Canon's battery compartment. It's easy to do, but it is easy to miss: the camera won't operate unless the DC cable is routed correctly to ensure the battery compartment is shut.

It works fine with my canon 80d! Didn't used it a lot but it seems good for the price!

I have used this battery replacement pack for several day-long photo sessions (copying documents) using live view on a Canon EOS 60D. It works perfectly, and at the end of the day the 'battery', transformer and the camera are not noticeably warm (which would have ben a worry!) Seems well-made,, and does what it says.

I bought this so I could use my Canon Eos R as my webcam and stop having to swap batteries every 60 mins. So, I took the risk because no one could answer my question about compatibility. *Rolling the dice* It does work! BUT, the design of the battery slot is not the same as the other 6D, 5D, etc. That is, the slot where the cable comes out of the camera is not aligned with the battery it self. However, you can kind of squeeze it by and still close the battery lid and thus does work. It isn't 100% fit, but I'm fine with it. I haven't seen much options out there otherwise. Hope that helps!

I use a Canon EOS 7D, and while this does work fine, it takes a little bit of effort to initially get the battery & cable in nicely. As far as I'm concerned, this doesn't mean a star should be deducted as it is impossible to design this product to meet the design specifications for the range of cameras that it covers (as they are different). I have been using this for multiple days without powering the camera off, and have experienced no issues so far. To this end, I firmly believe that this is a product that is worthwhile purchasing so long as you have a supported camera.

This is an excellent bit of kit. Works as advertised and is considerably cheaper than the rip off prices Canon charge. Recommended!

Well, this item worked fine and I was using it to power my EOS 70D which was being used as a webcam. After just over 4 months, this item has stopped working and no way to return or exchange. I checked that the camera itself is fine by simply using a battery in place of this power pack. Poor.

Excelente para no gastar batería si estas en casa cerca de un enchufe. Lo compré principalmente porque el alimentador era de 3 amperios. La mayoría de los otros que miré son de 2 y pienso eso es muy justo. Este marca 3 Amperios, no he podido comprobarlo, aunque pienso que si lo es, puesto que no se calienta, lo que indica que vá sobrado de potencia. Probado en mi Canon 70d en modo video durante 30 minutos seguidos. Funciona perfecto, no se calienta, ni la camara, ni el alimentador. Encaja perfecto en el hueco, la cámara lo detecta como si fuera una batería y la informacion siempre marca el 100%. La camara no muestra ningún error de ningún tipo. Es totalmente transparente. Como punto negativo diré que el cable para enchufar a la red eléctrica no es válido para España. Yo utilizé el del cargador que venía con mi camara. Pero sirve cualquiera. Si funciona así de bien sin estropearse a lo largo del tiempo, es una magnifica compra.

اخذته الكانون دي ٦ لاستخدامي اها مع الميكروسكوب بشكل مطول وصراحة جميل جدا .. لشهور الان والامور ممتازة لا ضعف ولا مشاكل بالكاميرا وارتحت من تغيير البطاريات باستمرار .. تاكد بعد وضع الجزء اللي يحل محل البطارية انها بالمكان الصحيح وان الكيبل ينزل بالمكان المخصص له تحت الغطاء مكان الجلدة لاقفال باب البطارية بشكل سليم .. الكيابل كان طولها مناسب جدا وكل شي سليم .. عشره على عشرة
