5/5 ⭐️ and 👍 👍! Best unit tested! Seamless integration, easy to use, and a free management app!
Short answer: 5/5 ⭐️ and 👍 👍! I purchased this unit for use in a 2021 Lexus RC 350 equipped with a Mark Levinson stereo w/wired factory Android Auto (AA)/Apple Car Play (ACP) support, and a Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus 5g. I've used the phone with many other Bluetooth connections including a USA-Spec BT45 Bluetooth adapter in my 07 GS 350. The RC's AA/ACP works seamlessly with the S20 5+ using the wired connection. Pros: • The unit sets up easily (plug and play as promised) and paired seamlessly with my Samsung S20+ 5g. • Port connection vs. hard-wired USB cable allows the use of longer cable supporting more placement options. • It starts up quickly and within 15 seconds of engine start my playlist is playing. • Sound quality is equivalent to my Lexus factory Bluetooth connection. • Rapid response and full compatibility with my Lexus Touchscreen. ZERO lag and access to all sections of the screen. • Full preservation of existing screen function. No replaced menu items. • Flush USB C connection port allows the use of any compatible cable • AA *AND* ACP support • Manufacturer-provided management and configuration app • Updates in-place via mobile phone. Does not have to be removed from the vehicle. • Value – the most expensive unit but the best-running, fullest featured, and only one app-supported. Cons • Price - most expensive unit tested Summary: This is “The Keeper”. It works every bit as well as the Anyfar, and addresses both of the issues I had with it. It supports ACP, which was a requirement for me. It has a flush USB port which allows me to use any of my many USB A-USB C cables to stash the dongle in the dash near my phone mount for the shortest wireless connection path. I also really like the app. It supports basic configuration and performance functions and it gives you some visibility into what’s happening with the device. The ability to update-in-place is a nice touch. As noted above, I plan to place the device in-dash to preserve what little storage space Lexus gives us in the RC’s console. Update-in-place ensures I won’t have to go into the dash to perform updates. Finally, while ‘Price is a con’, value is a definite “Pro”. Application support isn’t free, and price is not advantage if it doesn’t meet your needs…..

Work Great Till Not
Setup was very easy. I then connected my iphone with not a problem. So far, so good. Started driving down the road and the map kept going off and then back on. I checked the software version and it needed an update. That process was pretty simple to update which it needed. I tried again driving down the road using the map and it kept disconnecting and then connected. what the heck! I really, really wanted this thing to work but after all day of checking and getting the same on/off again while driving, I give up. I returned it for a refund.

Works well in 2020 Honda Odyssey
I thought Apple Carplay was a gamechanger back in 2020 when I got my Honda Odyssey, but when my husband got a newer vehicle with _wireless_ Carplay, I was jealous. This device wasn't cheap, but it was significantly cheaper than buying a new car! Other reviews helped me temper my expectations, and I'm very happy with this device. Yes, the interface that you see on your monitor while it's connecting looks a little sketchy, and yes, it takes 10ish seconds to connect each time you get in the car (it's usually done by the time I back out of my driveway if I don't want to wait for it), yes about 1 time out of 10 I might have to go into Apple settings to reconnect the bluetooth, and yes, there's a consistent 3-4 second delay that's noticeable when you use commands like pause and skip. With those limitations it's hard to give a 5-star review. But all in all, it's totally worth every penny. Add a magnetic charging mount and never have to fumble with plugs again!

Works great, easy to set up
This device does exactly what it's intended to do. It allows me to use the wired Apple CarPlay in my car without taking my phone out of my pocket. The initial setup took less than a minute. I just plugged it in to the appropriate USB outlet in my car, Bluetooth paired to it with my phone, and it was ready to go. My biggest fear with it was that phone calls might have serious degradation, because I had read that these type of devices generally cause a significant delay, but I can confirm that there is no noticeable delay on phone calls, and CarPlay works great with my GPS app and my music plays great. The only issue we have had is when two phones that have paired with it are present, it sometimes pairs with the phone we don't want it to pair with and there isn't an easy way to switch, other than turning Bluetooth off on the phone we don't want to be paired with it. But I don't think there's really any easy way to get around that issue without adding significant expense to the device. So I am super happy with this adapter and how it works in my car.

Does the job, but not great!
The Carlink Wireless 5.0 works but not great. It loses connection at times and takes a good minute when reconnecting to paired IPhone. Overall better than having a cable but it should have better and faster software. It also doesn’t support any video streaming.

It’s so easy even a non-tech person can set it up!
this product is an absolute game changer if you have a proprietary vehicle software in your car! It was super simple to set up because all you had to do was plug it into the USB port it powered on and you just pair your phone with it! My wife’s car, which is where we put this, has CarPlay ability however, if she plugs her phone up to the USB port, it starts to drain her battery drastically because the phone is having to do all these different things, including maps. Since standard USB ports on cars do not provide enough watts for charging. It’s pretty bad on road trips. This fixes it with no problems. She can Bluetooth directly to the device (she has it plugged into a USB port in her middle console and it connects no problem) and this freeze up her ability to use the cigarette lighter port with a USB-C cord to charge your phone. Five stars for the durability the value for money, the speed and the size of the device. You cannot go wrong with this!!!

This is a good product choice
I researched the different options for wireless CarPlay for my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude that comes standard with wired CarPlay. I’m happy with my choice. It’s easily hidden, no connection problems regardless of where my phone is in the vehicle. It connects quickly by the time I am ready to pick a song or map a location before driving. With remote start, it’s connected before I get in the car. No loss of sound quality compared to wired CarPlay. All functions on my steering wheel work. Call functions and Siri work. Very minor lag changing songs/volume from the steering wheel (+ or - a second). No lag at all using the screen. It does use up more of your iPhone battery of course without being plugged in but it’s nice you can plug the charger into the device itself or use another port if you need a charge. Very happy not to get tangled in wire and have a clean look inside of the Jeep now. Worth the money spent

Could be a great device...
I am not in the habit of writing negative reviews but I felt compelled to write this one. First the good: Sleak, user friendly, connect first time right out of the box. BAD: A week later the device would not connect to my phone (Samsung S24+)/truck. No matter what I did - I followed the troubleshooting recommendations and eventually returned it for an exchange. The new one worked perfectly for about 4 days and then stopped connecting to my phone/truck. I have deleted the device from my phone, rebooted, etc... Then it started working... So, this is a great device ONLY if you have the patience to constantly connect, disconnect, and reconnect. It really sucks because the device, when working, is great.
