Love it as a starter board. Never skimmed before and this board turned out to be great!! Get surf wax or some sort of stomp pad for traction when wet.

Used once and the layers are starting to separate at the tip of the board. We have other brands that have lasted years without this issue.

Board broke the 1st time my son used it while on vacation. My son took it out for the 1st beach day and it began coming apart...this is the first time it was used! I ordered it to be used for the week on vacation but it obviously didn't hold up 1 day! Poor quality for the cost

I bought these for my grandsons , 8 years and 10 years. The boys loved them and the boards were almost perfect. I say almost because the finish on the top is so smooth (looks great) it is a bit slippery to bare feet. I think I will apply some wax to the top side to give a bit of traction for the feet. The boys are "hooked" on sandbar skimming now.

I didn't want to spend $150 or more on a board for my son. This one works well enough, but it does not have the "cool factor" at the beach. It also seems to be a bit wider and longer than the fiberglass boards.
