I know I know, it is a blatant copy of an exhisting product, but hear me out...
So, many people are very upset that Behringer has copied an exhisting product, and I get that. However, if someone is trying to get into modular and can not afford the "real thing" then I feel they should have the option to get something affordable to them, in any case they were either going to but this one or nothing at all, so in the end is the company really missing out in that case? I feel the product is well made, though I would have liked to have the pots secured to the face plate, and also bigger knobs on the attenuverters. It does function exactly how one would expect, and even though it is a clone, it gets the job done. I have had the OG one in the past, but could not justify keeping it around, I picked one of these up mostly to see how it compared, and am impressed by the 1:1 function vs the OG unit. Do I think it is "right" to clone a product that is currently being sold? No I do not, but I also know how expensive Eurorack can be, and it can be a barrier to entry to people who really want to get into the "hobby" but are on a limited budget, and I think that is who these products are introduced for, right or wrong as it may be, they are probably not buying from MN anyway.

Affordable maths clone!! What's not to like?
This thing is sooooo freaking useful, and best of all doesn't murder my wallet! Crazy versatile and its a BLACK module, yay! Matches the rest of my build. I know it's a dumb reason to judge a module by, but I know I'm not alone with OCD color matching my gear lol......Buy one, from this seller, my experience was great! Thank you!!

Must-have for your modular setup
Amazing module at a fantastic price. Gets used in every one of my patches. My only complaint is that that 4 knobs for the attenuverters are very small. I would have preferred bigger knobs there and perhaps the smaller knobs on the Rise and Fall controls instead.

An affordable reproduction of the Buchla 257
Some people seem to hate the democratization of synthesizers, especially modular. Make Noise Maths is also a rip-off of the Buchla 257, but three times the price of the Behringer Abacus. Who should you be mad at? Buchla reissued the 257. You should buy that one if you're concerned about respecting the originators of the idea. It costs six times the price of the Behringer Abacus. Still mad? There is another replication of the 257 made by Tiptop Audio who partnered with Buchla for the reproduction (so you can be morally clean) and it's priced a little more than half the price of the Make Noise rip-off.

Can be had for less
Good module, but the price is $60 at sweetwater. Works like MATHS but has a worse front panel layout/controls.

Clone of MATHS. Seems to work.
I like the value of this. Fun in my mostly Behringer module Eurorack setup. You can get so many new Behringer gear items that clone severely overpriced or discontinued synthesizers. I plan to buy many more things from the new Behringer line as long as they continue to undercut everybody. (sorry to engineers of make noise and other small synth companies.)

Didn't know it was open box/used
Didn't know I was getting an open box item. Came shipped in merely its own packaging. Tape was broken. Inside the antistatic had be retaped and was missing 1 of the mounting screws. Totally awesome, we'll see if it at least works....
