Nutritious ! Tasty ! Fresh !
This is a great product. It is well worth the price. It is always fresh and package reseals well. It cooks well on the stove top and also cooks well using a rice cooker on the brown rice setting. I sometimes cook it in the rice cooker with chicken broth, variety of frozen mixed vegetables and or chopped chicken. It makes a delicious meal or side. If you have never tried brown rice before you should try Sukoyaka Genmai brand. Nutritious and tasty.

I have been using this brand for years. It is the best brown rice ever. It is moist full bodied and cooks up nicely. I absolutely recommend this brand.

Best rice ever!!!
We love this rice. When we lived in Hawaii a lady at my husband‘s work who is Japanese recommended this rice to us. That was 12 years ago and we’re still using the rice today. Pop it in the rice maker and you have yummy tasting rice for leftovers.

Spoiled Rice, tasted Sour and Yeastly - did not absorb moisture
I discovered this brand on Amazon a couple years back and since then it's been my favorite rice. It's moist, sweet, creamy, and perfectly pearly. However, this last order was more than just a disappointment. I cooked the rice today and when I poured the rice from its bag into a measuring cup, there was dust in the rice, which I thought was odd. There was never any dust in the previous orders. So I rinsed the rice 3 times instead of the usual once time. After I spent 2 hours cooking the rice and preparing dinner, just to taste that the rice was spoiled. The rice did not absorb moisture so it came out extremely soggy. Then when I tasted the rice, I immediately spat it out. It was sour and yeastly. The rice was spoiled. I cooked the rice with zojirushi rice cooker, and it's the best rice cooker out there. I'm never ordering this from Amazon again. P.S: I'm Japanese Vietnamese so I know how to properly cook rice. I learned how to rinse, prepare, and cook rice since I was 13 years old. As I mentioned, I've cooked this brand before, and it was heavenly. Except this last order. Yuck!

Big deal in Japanese rice
You can find this in any Japanese market chain like Tokyo Cental Market or Mitsuwa. Just use you map app and you should be surprised by how many markets near yo u find if you live, for example, in a metro area on the west coast. If you have not already, go to such a market or an H mart or 99 Ranch Market with friends or kids and get a small amusement park type "bump." Kids will go crazy in the snack and candy areas. Health freaks will discover a real produce section not to mention seafood (every type of octopus or squid u can umagine unles u an ethnic East Asian or Portuguese !😅🤪 Rice....got carried away there... Sukiyoshi is mor polished than brown which was even hard to find in Japan 20 years ago. Less polished than white. Healthier, tastier to some and faster cooking depending on you cookin method This brand is my fav. I am Japan focused academic who first went there as a college freshman 60 years ago...might enjoy checking out Whee! Website also.

California Koshihikari short grain rice (Genmai) is lower in arsenic than same rice grown elsewhere.
Good for the money.
