Graphtech Tusq Xl Nut - St Style Left Handed

This is great - fixed all of the tuning issues I had in my Fender Player strat. Good price and excellent quality.

This nut needed very little reshaping and very little in the way of slot adjustment to get the intonation right at the 1st & 2nd frets (all nuts will need something). The Tusq material is dream to work with and the tone in my 90s US Strat is as good as ever. Took me (I'm not a pro luthier but I know what I'm doing) about 15 mins to get this nut filed, sanded and seated just right, then about another 20 to check intonation and adjust the slots. Make sure to use 10s or 9s rather than 11s or above because the nut slots are relatively small and tight, otherwise I just need to sand down the edges, and then glue the nut. A very worthwhile upgrade on Left-Handed Squier CV Jazzmaster

I needed to string my CV50 strat left handed, so I tried the regular GraphTech TUSQ (without the XL), it didn't fit well. The XL version was 1$ more; and it fit almost perfect, all I had to do was sand-paper the sides of the nut because the nut groove on the neck was a little narrower than the XL nut. Almost perfect string height over the 1st fret. I am a happy convert.
