I used the color dark chestnut. You need to work fast, because this dries fast. Try not to let it drip, but if it does, get to it quickly, or it will be permanent. It’s not a very transparent stain, but it suppose it has to be that way in order to cover old varnish.

Stain went on nice , had a little odor. needed 3 coats to seal.

Easy to apply and quick drying. A very nice finish.

This product is more like a paint than a stain with heavy color that blocks the wood grain appeal. It doesn’t seal or protect. Considering how much more than the others I would keep shopping.
