This is my second diagnostics computer, and I took extra care in selecting a higher-quality model this time. The device has met my expectations despite a few limitations. It successfully communicated with a Ford F150, a recent Mazda CX5, and an older Corvette. When connecting to different vehicles, the system prompts you to download necessary diagnostic data from the main website if it is not already onboard. Initially, I encountered a challenge due to limited wi-fi in my garage, which I resolved by installing a wi-fi extender. Since then, the device has performed reliably. Unlike some diagnostic tools, it does not limit the number of vehicles you can use it with, as there are no license restrictions. The x431 has accurately identified fault codes, guided repairs, and enabled me to clear dashboard alerts. The investment has already paid off, as using it on three vehicles has saved the equivalent of professional technician fees. While I am pleased with the purchase, the main drawback is the device’s speed when processing or downloading large amounts of data, which can take several minutes.

Scan tool works fantastic, and is very fast. I'm normally not a fan of Bluetooth scanners due to connection times and issues but this model connects quickly, and without a fuss. I was already able to complete a job on a mini cooper, which is a bmw product.

This scanner is truly remarkable. Despite its compact size, it is brimming with features, particularly in terms of coding functions. I was able to code modules on my Cayenne that were previously inaccessible with Xtool and Autel. I am thoroughly impressed with this product.

This is a fine piece of kit. It seems sturdy and it functions fine. However, it is over marketed and promises everything to everybody and when it falls short, they simply ask for you to stand by for updates. This did not satisfy my immediate needs for Ford 6.7 diesel engine and fuel system diagnostics so, I am returning. Set up went fine but there is a very aggravating aspect that was revealed. I noticed as I searched for my specific functions that they want you to purchase additional access to service functions for some models.

Display: The large touchscreen is so clear, you could probably use it as a mirror. Not that I need another reminder of my garage hairdo, but it’s nice to have options. Software Updates: Regular updates are included, ensuring the device stays more up-to-date than my social media profiles. And let’s be honest, that’s saying something. Customer Support: The customer support from LAUNCH is so responsive, you’d think you were texting your best friend. Except, you know, they actually solve your problems instead of just sending memes. The Quirks: No product is perfect, and the CRP919XBT is no exception. Setting up the updates felt like trying to solve a Rubik’s cube blindfolded. But once you get past that, it’s smoother sailing than a cruise ship on a calm sea. Conclusion: All in all, the LAUNCH X431 CRP919XBT is a fantastic tool for anyone looking to take vehicle diagnostics into the 21st century. It’s like having a tiny mechanic in your pocket, ready to jump out and say, “I’ve got just the fix for that!” So, if you’re in the market for an OBD2 scanner that packs a punch and occasionally tests your patience during setup, look no further.

Update:, so about 6 7 months in it started acting extremely weird very slow and sluggish it's model number it's supposedly 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 it's called itself e n a i system 701 and has all kinds of weird code in it when looking into this this is full of malware and data collection services there's a longer system built in that would actually record my GPS directions and save them as wav files one by one by one each direction and was always trying to upload stuff in the background turns the service save you violates certain policies by looking into that stuff they want you to destroy the unit or return it to them at cost to you on further increase reason for the weird code and possibly saying stuff like AI is to allow some of the weird stuff in there because it is full of pirated software that's how they're able to provide such a cheap product they have used back doors to allow you to get the softwares for some of the stuff to access these cars modules plus mine being an overseas model that is full of nothing but spyware customer service is horrible ⁷also do not lose that activation code because it'll almost be impossible for you to ever get your system back online if you ever have to do a factory reset This thing is super amazing. Has all kinds of built-in software. Not only is it the top of the line bi-directional scan tool, it is also a tablet so once connected to the internet you can then click on codes which will then automatically Google. Search it and pull up a YouTube video if you'd like for repairs which is really cool too because then you can sync your business email to it. That way all my work emails related to car work come to this tablet thing so I can check work emails while fixing a car and putting my Subaru into diagnostic mode or service mode or fixing brakes or whatever way more than I thought it was going to be. I wasn't expecting it to be a a mini laptop computer. It feels really solid really rugged it's just a beautiful machine

Really great, easy to use, and saves money on DIY maintenance. Even enables me to look up new maintenance and repairs I can do myself knowing that the bidirectional capability makes work so much easier.

Ich hab mir den LAUNCH X431 geholt, weil ich endlich ein Diagnosegerät wollte, das mehr kann als nur Fehlercodes auslesen. Und das Teil ist echt eine Wucht. Ich hab’s schon an mehreren Autos getestet, BMW und Mercedes und jedes Mal problemlos verbunden. Die Geschwindigkeit und Genauigkeit sind top. Die Tiefe der Diagnosen finde ich echt MEGA. Man kann wirklich alle Systeme prüfen, Motor, ABS, Getriebe, Airbag, alles. Die bidirektionalen Tests sind genial, z. B. Lüfter oder Injektoren direkt ansteuern. Ich hab damit sogar eine Drosselklappenadaption gemacht, lief perfekt. Die Bedienung ist einfach, das Display reagiert schnell, und das Menü ist übersichtlich. Mit der Bluetooth-Verbindung muss ich nicht mehr mit Kabeln im Motorraum rumfummeln. Und die 2 Jahre kostenlose Updates sind ein echter Vorteil, da bleibt das Gerät aktuell. Klar, es ist kein Schnäppchen, aber im Vergleich zu Werkstattkosten hat sich das schon beim zweiten Einsatz bezahlt gemacht. Für ambitionierte Schrauber wie ich, ein richtig starkes Tool. Schnell, gut und echt stark, mit Profi-Funktionen, die sonst nur teure Geräte bieten. Ich würd’s sofort wieder kaufen.

This is an awesome tool and I would highly recommend it to anybody It's especially good for technicians working in a shop it has a high level of functions and will help in diagnosing problems or just resetting servive remembers and dpf

Tool was delivered really fast and packaged superbly communication from the supplier was also top notch. Early impressions of this are good, boot up time is quicker than my other scanners and the GUI is intuitive. When connecting to a vehicle again I would say it’s quicker than other scan tools I have used. The functions you can do with this are really comprehensive for a tool at this price point and it would be an excellent addition to professional and home mechanics alike. One thing that would make it better would be some kind of stand. In conclusion a quality sturdy piece of kit that I personally would recommend without hesitation.
