I carry this in my travel bag to avoid the bulk of a separate lightning cable to charge my older AirPods and iPad when I am away from home. It is small, light, durable and easy to use. So far (periodic use over a year or so) it has been very reliable.

Works fine with InfiRay thermal camera using Thermal P2 app. I thought InfiRay camera with Lightning connector would be useless when I upgraded to newer iPhone with USB-C, but this dongle gave it new life. It wasn't clear from the dongle's description it would support this type of accessory, but it did.

Will not allow an Iphone 16 to cast to a TV! Apple no longer allows casting with this. Does allow my older infrared camera to work with an iPhone 16

This product works well so far, and I highly recommend it over a non-Apple adapter. It fits snugly into the Lightning cable and charges at the same speed as a regular Apple charging cable, without any noticeable differences. It’s nice that the connector areas do not become hot during the charging sessions when compared with the non-Apple ones. Although it’s a bit pricier, it works quite well and offers the most convenience and compatibility with other devices.

Sayless, but its a bit pricecy, but needed for the wired carplay. Average apple accessories, and good quality.

Very disappointed in this Apple product. It worked for a little over 3 months and I only used it a handful of times. I have a 2023 SUV. In order to use maps on my iPhone 16 and have it project to the screen in my SUV, I have to use a Type A USB. Apple does not make a Type-A USB to a Type-C, they only make a Type-A USB to Lightening, so this is why I needed the adapter in the first place. Apple sells Anker Type-A USB to Type-C, but my phone still kept getting kicked off my SUV. Ever since my phone updated to the latest ISO, my phone doesn’t stay connected to my SUV. After doing some research, I was told to only use Apple cables/cords in my SUV. So I bought another Apple USB-A USB to Lightening cable and then bought this adapter so I can use my iPhone 16. I’ve only used it a handful of times, since I only use it when I need to project my maps, but now it doesn’t work at all. I’ve tried it with different cables, tried it in my house using an Apple charging block and still nothing. I’m very disappointed in this $30 piece of garbage. For the same price, I just bought a Bluetooth adapter and so far it works great.
