Tascam US-1800 USB Audio Interface with XLR and Instrument Cables Bundle

Using to track drums and sometimes full band (guitar, bass, vocals). Running with MacBook Air (i5, 4GB, 128SSD, Mavericks/Yosemite) with no problems. Also sometimes run with Dell Vostro Windows 7 laptop without any problems. Software is GarageBand and Reaper on the Mac and Reaper on the PC.Cables that came with the bundle are sufficient for home use, but may be a little less roadworthy than other options, although to be fair, i've seen expensive cables fail probably as frequently as "cheaper" cables after getting trampled and kicked on stage a zillion times. I assume if you take care of them, they'll last.I have one complaint about the unit and it's a dumb one. The power supply comes in two parts (like a lot of laptops) where you have an a/c cord that separates from/plugs into the transformer (the block box). Usually, the connection is pretty snug and you have to use a little effort to separate them. However, on mine, the a/c cord pulls away from the transformer very easily, in fact, there is pretty much no resistance at all. It's not a fundamental problem as the unit just sits there.Otherwise, the unit has operated flawlessly (mic pres seem fine) and if there is any weak link in my setup, it's the middle-range mics i'm using, not the Tascam.

Great device. I have recorded 10 tracks live into a laptop without issue. The included Cubase LE5 is great too

I had to send it back. It seems I'm not the only one either. The headphone / monitor outputs were broken. Luckily it was bought from Amazon, as I read that buying one from the shops means that because it is bundled with some bloatware, they can get around having to accept returns on it. This is basically a license for Tascam to make a load of rubbish then sell it with impunity.Do not buy it.

ein wirklich tolles Gerät mit sehr vielen Möglichkeiten, welches auf Anhieb mit meinem Laptop (Vista) und dem mitgelieferten Cubase LE5 zusammenarbeitet. Ich hatte zuvor einen Zoom R16 - trotz aller Tricks und Treiber konnte ich diesen nicht vernünftig zur Zusammenarbeit bewegen.Vom Tascam bin ich nun absolut begeistert - wurde auch vom Musikhaus Korn superschnell geliefert.

外部スタジオでマイク10本くらい使ってドラム録音やらなきゃだったのでTASCAMのUS-1800を選択決め手は現行品唯一の前面入力端子XLR端子8とフォーン端子2にマイクプリ10基搭載(他機種は８基までが多い)と２万後半と安価な事ていうかバーゲンプライスでしょうこれは！バンドの一発録音やドラムのマルチマイク録音やる方には最適と思います。最近のノートパソコンにはExpressCardスロットが搭載されていないことも多くFireWire端子を増設するのが難しい状況です。現在、8チャンネルマイクプリ搭載FireWire機を使っていてUSB機に乗り換えを検討している方に最適と思います。USB機なのでWIN環境でのFireWire機のようにFireWireコントローラーチップの相性で悩む事もなく一発で安定動作、無事に録音できました。ハッキリ言ってオススメです。

これまでは、ＵＡ－２５ＥＸを使ってましたが、ドラムのマルチ録音の為、購入しました。予算的に他の候補はあまり考えてませんでしたが、シンプルで使いやすいと思いました。音質的な事はわかりませんが、素人の僕が使うには、欠点は感じられませんでした。ＤＡＷは以前からのソナーで使用しましたが、付属のCUBASE LE5も付いて来るので、うれしいです。
