Zak Tool No. 57K Key Ring Window Punch

Breaks out windows like a champ. I use a carabiner and 1" keyring to keep it on my bunker gear and it keeps it handy for extracating patients. Be warned, I had one of these before and it magically disappeared lol. Also, wearing it inside fires has been ok but be warned that with all that water and nasties flying about, you will need to thoroughly wash and dry it and I would go so far as to coat it with some WD-40 or something of the like to keep it from rusting.

Superior window breaker, breaks all car windows easily with minimal effort (all you have to do is pull the spring back and let it slap forward), and it allow you to break windows without getting your hands or arms cut in the process. I believe even kids or senior citizens can use this with relative ease. The construction and quality of the metal and machining is very good.

I bought a window punch from a local store and ended up returning it because I felt it was poor quality and worried it wouldn’t work in case of emergency. I found this one and it’s pretty heavy duty, yet light weight and ready for an emergency. I have no doubt this will work when called on.

First test it broke.

I have punched a lot of windows and this punch has worked every time. You need to use it on a corner. The top corner is my go to, but I have had to do it on the bottom on one occasion. I genuinely don’t understand how people have got one of these to fail.

Being in the Fire Dept.for Many years, I have gone through A lot of Different Window Punches..I Like the Quality And Style Of the ZAK tool Punch, what is nice about this Punch is that when you take out A window, because of it's design, it helps keep your hand from wanting to " Push through " into the passenger compartment,So far this tool has Held up Well and I would Recommend this to My fellow Firefighters.....

While I have not run into a situation where I have needed to use this tool yet, it seems more than capable of serving its purpose. It's built rugged and delivers a solid punch when I tried it. This tool has earned its place in my fire gear so I will always have it nearby during first response situations.
