Q: What company makes the swicthes?

They are jixian switches and are cherry mx clones

Q: hey, so i lost the manuel because my mother threw it away. how do i change the colors?

Instructions manual indicate numerous effects…depending on the lighting you want. It didn’t allow me to upload just a photo of the manual, just video. Hope it helps.

Q: Is there some way to remap keys with this keyboard? One day I found typing '4' inserts a string of characters instead of the single number.

Not on the keyboard itself. Could likely do it in a program, but at $30, you are better off just getting a new one. I have had some of my switches wear out and "double type" their characters with a single keystroke, but never a string of characters that would not be expected when you press that key.

Q: Are the keys swappable?

I'm not certain about the keys themselves, but the keycaps are the standard Cherry clone type ones. I swapped mine out for some generic ones.

E and X key?

I have had this keyboard for a bit under 3 years now and it has started acting up. I cannot push the e button without it moving the page up and moving type back to the start. X button moves page to bottom. Wouldn't recommend.
