This is a nice little boat where you need a kayak that is compact to store, easy to transport and yet paddles pretty well. It is very well made, easy to inflate and is ready to paddle in less than 10 minutes. It tracks pretty well and is easy to paddle. It won't keep up with a sleek hardshell on an open lake, but isn't all that much slower. Plus it is very maneuverable in rivers. It is very light and rides pretty high in the water but still handles just fine in a breeze. I won't give up my hardshell kayak for long open water trips, but this inflatable is great for rivers and shorter trips, especially when I don't want to deal with transporting a long boat. We liked it so much we bought another one for my wife.

I have used mine for over 5 years. Love so much I bought 2 more for family & friends to use. Quick inflate and deflate. Love that it fits in the back seat or trunk of my little focus and still room to add gear for fishing, camping & biking. Very light when packed and when loaded for the day. River or Lakes it performs perfectly in high winds and strong currents. I recommend the backbone (advanced elements backbone-bow & stern frame) works well without but really appreciate the extra support for my spine esp on those 4 + hr days on the lake. Have run over logs & shallows with rocks, not that I would recommend constant contact, but each time has come out without any marks. I looked at other type of inflatables but this is an actual kayak, not a flotation device for playing in your swimming pool. Totally worth the investment.

Love our inflatable kayak! Loved it so much, we bought 2! It's sturdy, dependable, no leaks, and easy to inflate and deflate. Each kayak comes with a bag to make the haul easier. It's probably about 40 bulky pounds but manageable for my 5'2 120lbs self- I just wear the bag the kayak is in like a backpack, its definitely doable. My husband takes about 20 mins to set up both kayaks and breaking it down takes about the same time.. We use the paddles it came with and it does just fine in Rivers and Lakes. Haven't taken them out into the ocean, but that's not what we bought them for so this review isn't about that. You'll love it!

I've had this out maybe half a dozen times now. I am really pleased with this kayak. Make that thrilled. If portability and storage requirements are driving you to an inflatable kayak, this is a great option. It is not a toy. It is a real, useable kayak. Setup: I timed it the other day and from car parked to paddle in the water took me 10 minutes. That includes maybe 2 minutes to carry the kayak down to the water from my parking spot. Since it is quite light, it is easy for me to carry solo. The pump it comes with is a high-volume low pressure pump--a short, fat thing--that works really well. Breakdown: Breakdown is even faster. By the time my friend has his kayak on his roof carrier and tied down, mine is deflated, wiped down, packed in its bag and loaded in the trunk. The pump has a deflate mode that I use to pump the last bit of air out of the main chamber. There is some extra work though. When I get home, I unpack the kayak, partially inflate it, towel out the cockpit, and leave it out to dry in the sun for a few hours. It might be overkill, but I want to make sure the kayak is completely dry inside and out before storing it away. Performance: Tracks very well for an inflatable. It's not going to perform like a 14' Eddyline, but it's better than you might expect. The internal frame, although minimal, provides some shape to the hull, and there is a very small skeg, both of which help tracking. It does not have any footpegs, but I did not find that to be a problem. I do feel like I am blown around a bit more in windy conditions than a hardshell. Also, it feels slow in choppy water. The body seems to absorb the chop rather than cut threw it. Capacity: At 6'0" and 195 lbs, I am about at the limit for this boat. If you are any taller than that, you should probably try it out first. At my weight, there is some sag in the boat. I am probably going to get their backbone that increases the rigidity of the boat. They also make a drop-stitch floor which would serve much the same purpose. Storage: Despite what it says in the description, there is very little storage space. I can fit a life jacket behind the seat. That's about it. Anything else goes in the cockpit between my legs or tied down to the top of the boat. There are Velcro straps on the deck you can use to hold a paddle or a fishing pole. There is no water bottle holder. I tuck the water bottle alongside of the seat. Miscellaneous: I like that the boat only has a short skeg as I do a lot of kayaking in shallow water. Some inflatables have large skegs would limit my ability to explore mangrove tunnels. The seat is surprisingly comfortable. With the side chambers, the walls of the kayak are pretty wide. This makes it more difficult to enter and exit if you use the straddle method.

After being sorely disappointed with our two cheap Intex kayaks last year, we upgraded to this and have been beyond happy with it! We wanted two kayaks, so I purchased one of these and one Aquaglide Noyo 90, but I ended up returning the Noyo and buying another one of these Advanced Elements Advanced Frame kayaks because I liked it so much better than the Noyo. It's so quick to inflate, although you do need to pay attention to the positioning of the ballasts and metal frames in the bow and stern while inflating. Leg room is comfortable up front, and there's plenty of room in back for a cooler and dry bag. It's kind of awkward to carry by myself - a handle in the middle inside would have been helpful - but not impossible to carry short distances alone. Love the paddle straps on each side and the bungee netting up front! Tracks decently, super durable and well made, and I'm very happy with it!

I purchased this Kayak from MTN Outlet - I have purchased A LOT of products on Amazon for many years and one of the main reasons is that I feel protected by Amazon's great customer service and return policies. In this case, I did not realize MTN Outlet has a terrible return policy. I tried this Kayak - one time (it looks like new - no damage) - but this inflatable's seating is WAY TOO LOW - I could hardly paddle it and could not get comfortable trying to sit upright. It moves very slow in the water (even on a calm small lake). I tried to return it - contacted this seller - but MTN refused my return request. I have now learned a valuable lesson and share this review so no other good faith Amazon customer has the same pathetic experience.

Zunächst muss man sagen, dass das Konzept aufgeht. Das ist kein Badeboot, sondern ein echtes Sportgerät. Aufbau ist gut erklärt, geht flott vonstatten. Warum Frame Sport? Ich wollte das beste Aufblaskajak, dass man auch noch alleine tragen kann. Unaufgeblasen über der Schulter mit der festen Tasche, aufgeblasen dito, mit dem Süllrand. So habe ich nun mühsam meinen Namen mit dem Edding draufgepinselt und war im Spreewald. Meine Vergleichsboote: altes Faltboot (RZ 85), Festrumpf Tourenkajak mit Lenkung vom Verleiher, und ein preiswertes Einsteiger-Aufblaskajak für ca. 130€. Also erstmal generell, nur ein Festrumpfkajak fährt sich wie ein Festrumpfkajak. Punkt. Aber das Frame Sport fährt sich für ein kompaktes Aufblaskajak sehr gut. Bug und Kiel schneiden durch das Wasser, und man kann auch mal Tempo machen. Letzteres ging mit dem 130€-Aufblaskajak nicht, und schwerer war der Griepel auch noch. Einsteigen und Sitzkomfort gehen in Ordnung. Ich würde nichts zusätzlich unter den Sitz legen, das verändert nur den Schwerpunkt ungünstig. Durch die große Öffnung gelangt man sehr bequem rein und raus, aber muss damit leben, dass der Spritzschutz dadurch vermindert ist und dieser Wasserschutz,den man von anderen Kajaks kennt, lässt sich nicht befestigen. Wie man das bei Starkregen handelt, überlege ich mir auch grad noch. Beinfreiheit und überhaupt Körpergröße/Gewicht: die Angaben von AE sind da etwas optimistisch. Bin 1,81 m groß bei geschätzten 85 kg, schlanke Figur. Das würde ich mal als Limit ansehen und höchstens noch, gut verteilt, 10kg Zuladung. Sonst ist das Freibord weg. Das heißt, Mehrtagestouren gehen nur mit konsequenter Ultralight Ausrüstung! Stauraum im Boot ist sehr knapp, eigentlich nur hinter dem Sitz. Da habe ich gerade so die Pumpe quer hineingefummelt. Vorne stossen meine Füße schon an, gibt zwar Halt, aber Platz ist da keiner mehr. Man muss also alles in Drybags verteilen und oben auf schnallen. Paddeln: funktioniert für mich, die Neoprenverstärkungen tun ihren Job, um das Deckmaterial zu schonen. Nützlich sind die Paddelschlaufen, fürs Umtragen. Geradeauslauf kommt natürlich nicht an Tourenkajak/Faltboot heran, war zu erwarten, aber die Wendigkeit ist dafür ausgezeichnet. Abbauen/Reinigung: geht in Ordnung, man sollte aber ein gescheites Wischtuch dabeihaben. Dann kommt das Kajak auch recht trocken in die Tasche. Nun eine generelle Anmerkung. AE hat eine Marketingstrategie wie der Möbelschwede. Man bekommt nur das nackte Kajak. Alles andere sind Zukäufe. Paddel und Pumpe - ohne geht es gar nicht. Reparaturkleber muss zugekauft werden, Flicken sind dabei. In der Basisausführung, wie gekauft, hängt doch der Hintern etwas durch. Also muss man mindestens noch den Preis vom Backbone dazurechnen, damit das Kajak noch formstabiler wird. Bringt auch noch einen Knoten, sagen die Kajakfans in den Videos. Oder man will auch mal über eine Steinsohle rutschen, dann schaut man ganz schnell zum Dropstitchboden. Der aber fast ein Drittel vom Boot kostet. Hm. Fazit: Für mich der optimale Arbeitspunkt aus Gewicht, Verstaubarkeit, Fahreigenschaften und Einsatzbereichen. Macht Spaß, auch für Anfänger, gutmütiges Handling, stabil im Wasser, und schnell wieder in der Tasche, wo der ganze andere Kram auch noch reinpasst. So kann man auch mal in der Woche eine Stunde auf dem Haussee paddeln, ohne eine Expedition vorbereiten zu müssen. Nachtrag: war jetzt auf einem unreguliertem, stark mäanderndem Fluß mit vielen Baumhindernissen unterwegs. Dafür ist das Kajak gemacht! Wendig und gutmütig im Handling. Rutscht auch über ein Steinwehr (aufgeschütteter Natursteindamm) hinweg, als wäre das nichts weiter. Eine andere Tour auf einem großen Fluß, eine Bundeswasserstraße, hat auch sehr viel Spaß gemacht, aber bei reichlich 3m Länge wird das Tempo eher gemütlich. Vergleich: Fetstoffkajaks haben gerne mal 5m Länge. Dropstitchboden: Achtung, das Kajak wird zwar steifer, aber kippeliger! Nichts für Leichtgewichte. Probiere demnächst den Backbone aus, mal sehen. Ein echter Transportrucksack ist sehr nützlich für längere Märsche zur Einsatzstelle, die Tasche ist selbst bei kurzen Wegen schwer zu tragen.

I bought my Advanced Elements Sport in 2014 and have been using it ever since without any problems. It's an amazing kayak. It's been paddled by me, our children, our grandchildren and friends. Everyone loves it without exception. It's easy to inflate and deflate, and is safe, stable and tracks well on lakes, rivers and the sea (off the beach only for me). More than that, it looks good as well. People have offered to buy it, but I'm not selling. One tip (if you prefer to keep fairly dry, like me) - put a towel across the seat, because any water in the kayak (from wet feet when getting in, usually) will collect at this lowest point. Worth every penny.

Used thus kayak for recreational use on a lake. Tracks much better than our previous advanced elements kayak. Slightly heavier but worth it for the performance. Not a huge fan of the seat adjustments but still comfortable. Easy to unpack and inflate and to store again.

Habe lange nach einem Kajak gesucht das einfach zusammenfaltbar ist und doch nicht nach einem typischen Schlauchboot aussieht. Nachdem ich zahlreiche Artikel im Netz gelesen habe und Videos angesehen habe bin ich auf das Boot von Advanced Elements gestoßen Das Boot mach einen sehr guten Eindruck und ist solide verarbeitet. Nach mehreren Ausfahrten bin ich mit dem Kauf sehr zufrieden und ich denke es ist nicht nur für Einsteiger eine gute Wahl. Als Ergänzung habe ich mir noch den Backbone gekauft. Der Knochen ist zwar nicht zwingend notwendig, er macht das Boot aber nochmal stabiler und schneller. Das Kajak ist super schnell auf- und abgebaut und in ca 10 Minuten einsatzbereit. Die Doppelpumpe mit Manometer ist eine sinnvolle zusätzliche Investition da damit das Boot mit optimalem Druck aufgepumpt wird. Für ein Luftkajak ist man recht zügig unterwegs, mit einem Hartschalenkajak ist es allerdings nicht vergleichbar, es wäre aber auch so, als würde man Äpfel nicht mit Äpfeln vergleichen. Die Aluverstrebungen in Bug und Heck sowie das Backbone machen aus einem reinen Schlauchboot ein Hybriden aus Falt- und Luftkajak Der Kajak läuft damit sauber gerade aus.
