BOSS Md-2 Mega Distortion; Extreme, Low-End Distortion for Modern Metal And Hard Rock

I got this pedal solely because I wanted to achieve John Frusciante’s distortion sound. It works perfectly and is now essential to my pedal board. I love the look and the sounds I can now get. The only downside is now I need to get more pedals! 10 out of 10 for being sturdy, reliable, cheap and good looking

The pedal is really nice, you can get so many different tones using the turbo and none turbo mode, if you want the sound of some of John Frusciante's solos then this is the pedal you should get. The one thing i do recommend is getting a cable for it, especially if you are new to pedals and pedal boards as a 9v battery will not last long at all, unless you take it out after using the pedal. Other than that, this is a great pedal and would 100% recommend

This is a pretty sweet pedal! Not quite how I thought it would be, but I really like all the different kinds of distortion I am able to produce with it.

Much loved by son and a good price. Now he can sound like a cross between Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain. Between ourselves, the best thing about it is that it has brought him back to the guitar and away from the drums so practice sessions are more bearable. It plays a cool riff and if you have a cheap guitar it makes it sound quite classy. If you're ordering one as a present, be careful. There is a bit of a difference between fuzz and distortion and I'm told they don't all sound the same.

Aaand without a doubt best rock pedal I own, and most used one on my pedalboard. Can drive roaring solos like a crazy and pretty good with sustain, or can be subtle and with volume drop on guitar gives lots of dynamics. Every other pedal I tried was a little too british (mode 2 on this one) so I keep it at mode 1 and I'm mega happy. I wanted a US sounding dist pedal and this one does it for me. Cheap too.

Perfecto para rock-rock duro. Para metal clásico también vale (Black Sabbath, etc), pero para cosas más extremas se queda corto. Con distorsión muy baja también sirve para blues-rock. Que tenga el modo normal y el turbo permite lograr matices diferentes. La única pega que se le puede poner es que es un poco ruidoso, pero con un noise gate se soluciona sin necesidad de ser muy agresivo.

Suono iconico della storia della musica. Perfetto e bellissimo con diversi amp e chitarre. Vasta gamma di suoni con le varie regolazioni. Consigliatissimo

I bought mine used but apart from cosmetic wear on the exterior this thing rocks. It has it's own treble and bass with a distortion and even a seperate gain control.I have a fender champion 20 so I've been using the onboard metal tone and it's been great so far but the Mega Distortion pedal blows me away even in my little fender amp.Worth it if you want to enter the metal zone. (Not to be confused with the BOSS Metal zone pedal, that thing is s#!t
