I first saw this knife during a preview on Blade show 2018 and was immediately attracted to the functional look of this knife. I recently bought the Cold Steel Code 4 and was impressed by the quality of the blade so I decided to purchase this knife. So far, I am again impressed by the quality of the Cold Steel knives. Fit and finish was great and centering of the blade was spot on. The knife came hair popping sharp. The total length of the knife was similar to the Code 4 and ZT 0620, but with thicker, more contoured G10 handle. The handle is incredibly comfortable in any grip and gives just about the right traction. It also has a finger choil at the front of the handle so I can choke up on the blade for finer work. I have come to appreciate the Tri-Ad lock which securely locks the blade in place without any horizontal or vertical blade play. It feels much lighter in hand than my ZT 0620 even though the weight specs are similar. With some practice, I am able to "wave" deploy the knife out of my pocket like the ZT 0620. The only negative was that the clip was very tight initially, but I was able to easily remedy that with a good pair of pliers. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. I am confident that this blade can handle anything in its way during my next camping trip.

Muy dura para mi gusto, si compraron ZT, definitivo no me gusto, continuaré con la marca que prefiero ZT.

I saw a video of a guy hammering one of these into a tree and then standing on it. I haven’t done that. But this is EASILY the most sturdy folding knife I’ve ever held. Sharp too. Quality. The clip is super tight though. I’ve got some cardboard under mine right now to bend it out a little to break it in so I can get it on and off of my pants

The thick blade, comfortably contoured handle and lock inspire confidencewhen using this knife. My knife arrived perfectly centered and overall shaving sharp except for the very tip, which was corrected with a ceramic rod. The reasons for the 4 star are as follows: the lock release had an extremely strong spring, to the point that depressing it became painful. I left it half opened for a few days to weaken the spring. The pocket clip was FAR too tight and was difficult to insert and remove from my pants, which did not help with the thumbplate's ability to catch on the edge of a pocket and open like an Emerson wave. I had to inscrew and slightly bend the clip to make it bearable. Overall when actually using the knife it feels like a fixed blade and the price for the materials and quality is quite justified.

I am very impressed with the Bush Ranger. The Tri-Ad lock is no joke! The lock up feels incredibly sturdy and rock solid. The weight is surprisingly light for a knife this size. The grips are nicely textured, not overly abrasive. Great ergonomics, super comfortable in the hand. The action is stiff at first, there will be a break in period. One tiny drop of oil on the pivot helps. Only complaint is the pocket clip is extremely tight to the point it is difficult to pull it out of the pocket. Just unscrew the clip and bend it slightly with pliers. Factory edge on the blade was quite sharp. I touched it up on ceramic rods and the S35vn steel takes a hair popping sharp edge. This knife is an absolute unit. Overall I am extremely satisfied. Great work Cold Steel. Absolutely worth the money. 10/10 recommend.
