Best Nail Clipper Ever!
We have owned one of these clippers for some years but couldn't find another one in the shop where we bought it so ordered from Amazon. This one is as good as our other one and now stays in the sponge bag for travelling. These clippers really are in a different league to most smaller ones - they cut cleanly and are very sharp. You can shape your nails well and only need a quick rub round with a glass file to finish your manicure. Happy to recommend these clippers to anyone.

handy nail clipper made from surgical steel...
Stylfile S-Clipper Nail Clipper made by Aventom Ltd is a well-made nail clipper with good quality workmanship which has produced a top quality article. I like the good quality steel of the actual clipper which I find is easy to sterilise after using. The actual clipper is made from surgical steel which is made from surgical steel, this leaves it so easy to keep clean and with the added bonus all germs can be killed using boiling water. I like how I am able to trim my toenails properly with the added advantage it will not cut your toenails too short if used properly according to instruction. One thing I do like about the design of this particular nail clipper is that the designer Tom Pellereau has designed the nail clipper catches those dreaded toenail clippings which in the past would have jumped easily to the other side of the room, only to be found when I stood on them! I would recommend this clipper, especially for toenails as they are designed especially to cut your nails straight across which is recommended as the correct way of cutting toenails. I do like the Stylfile S-Clipper Nail Clipper as a great device for keeping nails especially short and neat which leaves the Stylfile S-Copper Nail Clipper made by Aventom Ltd, designed by one of the winners of Apprentice which is headed by Sir Alan Sugar.

If yours doesn't work just email them - my replacement is perfect
When I first received my S-Clipper I was a little disappointed as the blades didn't seem to work properly, and didn't slice through my nail cleanly. I contacted Tom on Twitter @inventor_tom, and he got back to me immediately and gave me the email for their customer service - [email protected]. They were really helpful and sent me a replacement straight away! My new S-Clipper works exactly how I expected, slicing cleanly through the nail without it pinging away. It really is a clever design. From looking at some of the other reviews here I guess some other people have had a similar problem to me, they must have had a bad batch of clippers. I would recommend emailing Stylfile for a replacement!

Not for everyone pretty poor.
Purchased this item on the release date and instantly noticed it's not for all nail types especially if your nails curl in a bit which makes it almost impossible to use. The left side of the cutter is very tight so forget pushing a bit of nail in to cut on left without right side being able to cut first. Quality steel though but poor design really although you don't get flying bits of nails everywhere but do get the odd few. Future production should be based on all nail types.

Will not give a close cut - also no nail file on this clipper..............
Firstly and most importantly, because this clipper is made from such high quality metal, it is very thick, this means if you like to cut your nails really small, then this product is not for you. I would say it is more of a trimmer than a clipper. Having said this, the clipper will go through anything, so if you have really thick nails and you have trouble using a conventional clipper, then this item will help you. I can imagine this clipper to be very good with false nails and will trim them very nicely. For the price of this item, the finish is very poor, also for a pair of nail clippers, you expect there to be a nail file on it (you even get this with the £1 nail clippers), but there is no file on this clipper. Would I recommend this item, yes for trimming thick nails (or false nails), no for cutting thinner nails or for a tight cut (as you will not be able to achieve this).

No revolution, disapointing
When I unpacked the nail clipper I was disappointed as for this price I expected a good finish. To say the least, the finishing is very unrefined. When I then started using the clipper, with my first attempt on my thumb nail, it cut far too deep into my nail, because of the shape of the clipper. It also felt very unnatural as I was constantly trying to pull the clipper away from my thumbs as I was clipping. The nail was clipped in bits and pieces and after having done the nail, it looked more like I had cut my nail with a hammer and chisel. I then realised (by accident) that the clipper should not be held with the lever at the top, but that the lever should be held to the bottom (so in my view upside down). It became a lot easier to cut like that, but the result is still quite rough (I guess it is meant to be sold with the nail files) and apart from the nail clippings flying through the room, I don't really see any advantage over a regular clipper. In actual fact, I think normal small clippers are easier. So I would not recommend this pair of clippers, unless maybe if you have very thick toe nails, but even then there are cheaper alternatives that work just as well.

No effort nail cutting
I have problems squeezing normal nail clippers. Bought the Stylfile nail clipper after reading the reviews. Was very impressed - very little pressure needed and clippings easily collected. For me, with poor grip, they are a bit slippy but nothing that a couple of elastic bands can't solve. Great product, good quality, free sharpening service. Thank you Tom.
