This toolant ratchet pipe threader kit works good for basic threading jobs—easy to use once set up and the ratcheting handle makes the work a lot easier. The included dies and storage case keep everything organized and ready to go when I need it.

4 stars because it take a lot of muscle to thread something like iron pipe. I don't know about other materials yet but it does a great job. It tappers the threads so it's a tight fit into what your making. I highly recommend this because it's not made with cheap material.

So far, I threaded (3) 1/2" black pipe ends and threader worked as expected. Nice clean threads comparable to store purchased nipples. Take time, don't force or rush the process. Use plenty of tapping oil and back the cutter out once there is substantial resistance to clean out metal debris. Cutting debris will ruin the fresh cut threads if you force through it. I've got it down to about five minutes a thread after a little practice. The cutting teeth show no signs of wear, yet. It's not a "Rigid" brand but well worth the price.

This product worked like a champ cut the 1 inch pipe with this. You have to be patient move a little bit. Keep oiling to prevent galling! This produced very nice threads!

First and foremost, the tool worked as I needed and it should. The odd part was the storage case was cracked only inside of the case, externally it was fine, the cardboard box it arrived in was fine, case still works. And the tool worked well and did its job of extending a threaded section of galvanized pipe so that I could seat a tub spout deeper to make contact with a new shower surround.

Ok. Worked well enough to complete the job. Handled 1/2” fairly well. 3/4” black iron a bit of a challenge to get a full die thread. Threads clean enough to seal natural gas. Go easy, proper lube. Probably good as you’re gonna get w/o buying commercial grade.

So far it has worked to expectations

Used these for our business, instead of renting a pipe threader for a few pipes these worked wonderful. Easy to use the quality is great. They are durable, Sharp, and easy to handle. It came with its own case which makes it easy to carry/store.

Great price well made will be good to make Pipe threads on pipe.
