Wow - I can actually see the small print on ALDI grocery packets without having to ask my partner what exactly I am eating or indeed how to cook it. The magnifying glass has a sufficiently powerful lens for my poor eyesight although I still need to use my glasses when looking through it. It's a good size measuring about 80mm diameter and feels pleasantly weighted in the hand without causing any strain to the wrist. The main lens is quite thick and made of glass (not acrylic) which probably adds to the weight however the smaller detail lens in the handle is made of plastic. Illumination is perfect with a choice of light temperatures and brightness around the main lens and an individual light for the smaller lens. The handle also opens up to form a neat stand to allow for detailed inspection without the need to hold and focus by hand. All in all an excellent purchase for the money, very useful in the kitchen and an absolute Godsend for when I'm putting my tea on.

Excellent quality. The main lens is extremely sharp image and the lights are perfect for all needs. The extra small magnifier in the handle is very useful. It stands perfectly and is adjustable to suit whatever you’re doing. It folds easily and stores back in its box. It’s so easy to use for threading needles, repairing jewellery or cleaning hearing aids.

I bought this to help me when I apply my nail varnish, its make this job much easier now. quality not bad but a bit cheap looking and not very robust but it meets my needs

Helpful gadget, makes reading a lot clearer. Great for hobbies and close work. Great value for money, bought two so we can both work on our hobbies. Close work is a doddle, very clear vision especially sewing and close work.

This a great magnifying glass! I bought it for my jewellery making and it works perfectly well. The foldable stand is very stable and the the different lights are bright and easy to change. I am very happy with this item.

This is a very useful magnifying glass, particularly good for tying fishing knots

The downsides... Be sure you know what 10x magnification means. It is 10x by area so don't expect something 1mm in size to appear to be 1cm through this - it would appear at best just over 3mm (square root 10x) and at the distance on the inbuilt stand is barely double - see picture. Holding further away will give a higher magnification but at the expense of distortion. The small 30x glass in the handle appears to me to be next to useless. It is a little large to hold comfortably and all too easy to accidentally press the light button which cycles through the range of brightness/light temperature options. The good points... The inbuilt stand will probably be useful. The LEDs are bright and diffuse so no annoying reflections were obvious. At the stand distance there is minimal distortion. The lens seems to be glass so resistant to scratching. Fairly robust construction. At the price I consider it to be good value.

Este lupa con luz me ha sorprendido bastante. Tiene buen aumento, ñ (aunque no soy experto en eso), pero se nota la diferencia enseguida. Las letras pequeñas, los detalles de monedas, manualidades. Si eres de los que ya no puede leer sin entrecerrar los ojos, esto te va a encantar. Algo que me gustó mucho es que se puede usar en varias posiciones. Puedes tenerlo como lupa de mano, como las de antes, y también lo puedes apoyar sobre la mesa como si fuera una lamparita. Esa base que tiene es bastante práctica, porque te deja las manos libres para trabajar debajo del lente. Además, se ajusta en altura e inclinación, así que la puedes poner como te quede más cómodo según lo que estés haciendo. La luz LED también es un plus. No es que encandile, pero ilumina justo lo necesario para que no te cueste ver, sobre todo en ambientes con poca luz. Se nota mucho cuando estás leyendo o viendo algo con muchos detalles. Además, como la luz rodea toda la lente, no deja sombras molestas. cumple súper bien para el día a día. Si haces cosas que requieren ver en detalle o simplemente necesitas un empujoncito para leer mejor, esta lupa es una buena aliada. No ocupa tanto espacio y se guarda fácil.
