So I've had the white Dualsense edge controller for about a year now and it's been awesome, it became my primary controller so it's seen tons of use and started to show the small drawback signs of the underside grip panel getting really dirty and it luckily hasn't started to get bad but the rubber is barely starting to bubble up I just received a 2nd Dualsense edge controller as a gift (Midnight Black) and even though it's all black so I don't have the worry of the dirty grips being a visible issue, I wanted to avoid the rubber bubbling up far down the road and also wanted to give it a more custom, personalized look at the same time After looking around online I discovered the eXtremeRate trim shells and reading reviews it was perfect for what I wanted I've had to get a little handy with some of my other controllers from past sony consoles replacing the internal battery etc. So I am somewhat familiar with tearing apart sony controllers but the dualsense edge is a completey different design from all the other controllers sony has designed with no screws on the outer shell holding it together so I was a little nervous about pulling the trim panels off to replace them. The video for the trim panel installation provided was helpful but I was nervous about breaking anything while removing the stock panels so I did some digging online and found quite a few very helpful videos on YouTube showing exactly how to remove the trim panels using the plastic tool kit provided with the eXtremeRate panels. The plastic pry tool kit provided is awesome eXtremeRate includes everything needed to install their products and even encluded spare parts for the controller They arrived super quick in just 2 days with no issues The grip feels just as nice and comfortable as the stock ones do, they provide an awesome improved appearance and fix the rubber bubbling issue the stock grips get overtime I love the look of my new midnight black dualsense edge and ended up swapping the stock white panel on my white dualsense edge for the stock black panel from my midnight black edition and when the rubber starts to bubble on the black panel I'll definitely be coming back to replace it with these, I highly recommend these to anyone who wants to improve the look of their dualsense edge controller and fix the stock rubber bubbling drawback these controllers have

Fits perfectly and looks cool. Does it feel as good as the original rubber grips? No, not really. Does it feel just like the base PS5 controller you get with the console? Yes. It’s fine. I was pretty annoyed at the rubber grips peeling off but this is an easy and cheap solution. The shell will fit flush if you follow the directions for putting the new one on. The old one is a real pain to get off. You just have to keep at it and don’t try to force it. Also take the sticks off before you do this. You’ll be laying the controller down and inevitably it will be trying to turn on but it won’t if the sticks are off. Do it on a soft surface. I used the neoprene mat on our gaming table.

If you're planning on buying the white one, it's not the same shade of white as the stock controller. Would've given 5 stars if it did. Fits well, easy to install.

It wasn't sitting flush so after careful inspection, I cut part of the plastic that should've slid into a hole on each grip, but wasn't. The fit was flush after the cut, but the front plate is too small and there's a notable gap compared to the back plate. The paint is also really thin and already chipping. *Update* Their customer service has been phenomenal. They offered a refund and they sent a replacement free. I'm not sure if they're sending the replacement instead of the refund or both honestly, but I'm happy either way. I'm still using the pieces I originally received in the order but I'll check to see if anything is different with the replacement pieces. Unfortunately they said the gap on the front plate is normal and even the stock front plate has that gap. It's a great color and I don't notice any of these issues while gaming.
