The Blueberry Pie Elf

This was my favorite book as a child. It got too expensive to buy a copy because it was out of print and apparently lots of people's favorite book! But now that it's reprinted, I am happy to get a new copy that has the exact same illustrations and even the same dust jacket as the original! Perfect! It's the story of a sweet elf who lives with a family and does things to help them, but since no one can see an elf and no one can hear an elf, they don't know it. Then they make a wonderful blueberry pie that he samples, and he is so happy! But after that, no more blueberry pie. He does lots of things to try and get them to make a blueberry pie, but nothing helps until...read it and see! Adorable vintage illustrations and good manners taught to children with humor and fun on every page. : )

This book was enjoyed by my Dad when he was a kid (he is now in his 70's). He shared it with me when I was a kid and now my kids get to enjoy it as well. They ask for it again and again.

A tiny elf works hard to clean his human family’s home, and one night tastes some leftover blueberry pie. Although the Humans make cherry pie and apple pie, the elf is desperate for blueberry pie, and he leaves them a pleading note written in berry juice. Of course the family rewards him and he is careful to say THANKYOU, also in berry juice. A sweet, gentle, touching story for ages 4-adult.

This used to be one of my favorite books as a child, but as I grew older my mom passed it on to my younger cousins. Every now and then I searched online to see if I could find it, but the only edition available had a new illustrator and I wanted the one I remembered. I'm so glad they decided to re-publish it. This is a story about Elmer, an elf, who lives with a family and is thrilled when he tastes a bit of their blueberry pie one night. He does all sorts of chores to help them out around the house, hoping they'll notice they have an elf around, and in the end figures out an ingenious way to let them know what he wants. The pictures are enchanting and it's a fun story.

I loved this whimsical story when I was a child, and it's a great delight to read it to my grandchildren today. They like it as much as I did.

This was my absolutely favorite story as a child. When my children were young it was, unfortunately, out of print. Now that they are grown up and I am ready for grandchildren (though I only have a grand-niece so far), I was delighted to find this beautiful hardcover version to share! The pictures are exactly as I remembered them and I have given a couple as gifts and, of course, purchased one for myself! Recommend to anyone who loves to share an engaging story with a littler person in their life!

This was my favorite book as a child and made Blueberry pies my very favorite! I bought this book to read to my grandkids tonight. I have a Blueberry pie in the oven right now. I will be serving it with whip cream on top for the story reading tonight. My mom would have been proud
