Lucky and happy that I found this alternative to the pricey boards for sale. I was about to give up searching -- and found these mats. Mr. Pen interlocking mats. I was able to block and then stiffen my crocheted snowflakes. And I did not break the bank!

Work as needed for blocking my granny squares. these are on the thinner side and the pins poke right through so be careful when picking them up.

This is a pretty good option on a budget. I’m new to blocking my crochet projects and wasn’t sure how much I’d really use a blocking mat so I wanted something cheap. The boards are quite thin, so you have to be very careful to stick your pins in at the correct angle so they don’t poke through the back. It includes plenty of pins but as other reviewers mentioned, some of them are bent. Overall a good option for beginners or crocheters looking to save some money

These are just what I needed. I bought four packs in order to block a large sweater and a tank top, both knitted pieces. For those saying the grid doesn't line up for every block, you need to rotate the blocks sometimes for the grid to line up perfectly if you are using the grid. For example, the block are numbered, so if block 3 doesn't line up, just rotate it until it does. This has worked perfectly for me every time. Each pack comes with a bag of pins but I already had large blocking pins that I used, which I love.

Oh I love these! The grids are clear and easy to see, the pins were a very helpful addition and best of all these seems like sturdy mats. There weren't any harsh smells and I didn't have any concerns about the mats being easily damaged. The handwritten note is such a nice personal touch. I'm going to be buying more of these soon. This first four panels will be perfect to block out a circular yoke I'm knitting but I can tell these will be perfect for blocking lace knitting and some colourwork mittens I've gotten started on. These also seem very easy to store as they're not extremely thick but not concerningly thin.

Amazing blocking board! Because I underestimated how big my finished crochet project was, it turned out a bit too small for it, but the interlocking edges allowed me to pin it anyway! The mat holds pins extremely well: I thought it was going to be challenging given how thin it is, but it was not an issue AT ALL. Lovely packaging and lovely store, will buy from them again 1000%

These blocking mats are excellent to use with T pins to block knitting or crochet projects. They can be put together like a puzzle if a larger blocking mat is needed. I like that the colour is quiet and doesn't interfere with the colour of the yarn project. The price is reasonable as well.
