GSI Creos - Mr. Top Coat Flat Spray,Mr. Hobby

I got this hoping to use it instead of Mr super clear for dolls, but while it's a perfectly fine, matte finish spray, it doesn't have the papery texture required for using colored pencils on vinyl doll heads, even after several costs.

Some models I paint, some I just leave the color they are, all of them get this Topcoat. This Topcoat sprays on very nice and is extremely forgiving when being sprayed in colder than recomended temperatures. It sprays on nice and gives my painted or unpainted models a great matte look! Another thing I love about this particular one is that it is water based, so clean up is a snap! If you model pick some up, you will not regret it!

The reason I bought this spray can was to protect the paint on my artist proof space marine figure from getting rubbed off easily. Judging by the results, I've got little to complain about. All I had to do was spray evenly and let the coating cure for 15-20 minutes and repeat it for another layer. I personally recommend 5 layers just to be safe. Just a reminder, this really is a matt finish. So if you're planning on using metallic paints, save it after you've applied the amount of coats you're comfortable with to keep their shine. After all that, there was probably just a quarter of the spray left within the can. It would be nice if the can itself was larger, but that just comes down to how much of the coat you use and how to spray evenly. I wouldn't mind buying second one.

Great sealer for paint jobs. Only thing to be aware is using other paint brands. Other paints have reactions to this sealer, it’s best to use this top coat sealer with the same brand.

It dries super fast, is easily removable with acetone, and is actually matte as promised. I use it for doll customizing, and with just one layer of spray I was able to get regular prismacolors to stick to the plastic.

It's very easy to see why this is a popular brand to use in Japan. Give any model part a good spay, let it sit for 5-10 minutes, then check again and you won't be able to tell that anything was every sprayed on there to begin with. The only down side is: It's expensive to purchase TopCoat. Your local hobby shop probably sells Testor's dullcote. It's equally as amazing as this product and, well, local.

ジャガーノートのウェザリングを定着させるために使いました。 塗布後は若干色が濃くなるように思いますが、綺麗な塗面に仕上がります。

使ってる途中になくなることが多くもっと量が多ければなと思った。
