Luxardo Gourmet Maraschino Cherries, 2.2 lbs can

By far some of the best cherries. Perfect for cherry sodas and excellent with some bourbon.

These are the only cherries I will use for cocktails. Well worth the price if you want a good Manhattan.

Luxardo cherries are the best to use in a Manhattan!

I can’t say enough good things about these cherries! Did I need them? No. Am I glad I bought them? Oh yeah. These are nothing like the store bought bright red cherries you buy, these are dark, sweet-tart, with a little al-dente chew to them. Just perfect in my opinion. The syrup is lovely too, thick, almost boozy taste to them. I had to open them right away even though I wasn’t making a drink or baking anything, I just wanted to test them out; now I keep sneaking back to the jar with a spoon for no other reason but to have “just one more bite”. Damn these are great, I will be definitely buying more!

Was out for dinner with my wife and ordered an old fashioned after we’d finished eating. I always eat the cherry after I’ve finished the drink. There were two very dark red cherries on the swizzle stick and, with some trepidation, I nibbled on one of them. I’m fairly certain that my eyebrows actually left my forehead… my wife gave me a look that asked “why are your eyebrows hovering six inches over your forehead?” I don’t think I’d ever expected that much out of a simple cocktail cherry. All goofy jokes aside- I asked the waiter about the cherries- he said “Oh, yeah, everyone loves the Luxardo cherries. They’re expensive but totally worth it.” I spent a few minutes on Amazon, when we got home, and ordered the giant sized 2.2 pound can. If you’re looking for an excuse to eat these cherries (but can’t get away with a cocktail, ha ha) they’re also great on top of ice cream. Seriously- these will make you forget about those Shirley Temple maraschino cherries forever. I don’t wait until I’ve finished my old fashioned before I eat the cherries any more… I eat them first!

My absolute favorite cherry for Old Fashions or Manhattans. They're rich and dark. Well worth the money. You won't go back to maraschino cherries after these. The syrup is thick and sweet and adds the right amount to the drink.

These are delicious Luxardo cherries! Very large metal can. Reasonably priced. They really enhanced my Manhattan's. The size and flavor were great!!

Best cherries for Manhattans. They're very dense and have great flavor. We've had many different cherries claiming to be the best, these really are!
