they do the job they are advertised to do
I have been wanting some of these open ear earphones for sometime, but I do not like to use Bluetooth headsets in general, as I remain convinced that they're giving me headaches and things which is probably not correct, but there you go. first of all, there are quite a few reviews for this product already. So I'm hoping to add some extra details. For anybody needing to know about the cable length, it's very generous. You're looking at about 30 cm between the ears and the point where they join together on the cable and about 85 cm between the end of the cable where the they connect to your device and the joining of the left and right ear cable; so we're looking about 115 cm in total which is quite generous these days, and it means that a phone or some other device would be able to be kept in a trouser pocket without causing too much strain on the cable or for the earphones to be pulled. A clip is provided (attached) so that the microphone and volume adjustment buttons can be kept relatively stationary by clipping the wire to your shirt or coat or something like that. The microphone and buttons feed from the right earphone wire and not the left as is common. I don't know if this is important information for anybody, but it doesn't seem to get mentioned in any of the other reviews. As for the quality of the earphones they are very very lightweight. The other reviewers are correct. You would forget you were wearing them. You can hear as well as you would normally be able to hear the surrounding environment when there is no noise coming through the headphones. They absolutely do not impede your ears in anyway whatsoever. As a result of this, the sound quality is not the same as you would expect from a normal pair of headphones, but if you are looking for the sound quality from a normal pair of headphones, I would suggest you buy a normal pair of headphones. The sound quality from these earphones far surpasses the quality I was getting from bone conduction headphones and they do not have the annoying vibration effect, which almost tickles the side of my face when listening to any music which has any degree of bass to it. The sound quality from these earphones lacks deep bass altogether. You can correct the sound to some degree by using a graphic equaliser on your device, which may boost the bass very slightly, but do not expect it to replace the missing bass as these earphones are incapable of delivering those frequencies. This is not a fault of the product, but the nature of how the product is designed to interact with your ears. The lack of a seal between the drivers of the earphones, and your ears means that inevitably the lower frequencies are harder to hear. Anyway, sound quality is very subjective to the person who is used to varying degrees of quality headphones to begin with, and also to the context in which they are being used. You would not wear these headphones to listen to music for pleasure at home in your front room or treating yourself to a cheeky drink. You would listen to these headphones when you were doing something where being aware of your surroundings environment is priority. It is difficult to precisely describe the sound quality of their earphones, but I think the best way to describe them would be to imagine you have two very small portable speakers that have been put near your ears as opposed to headphones. If you have ever used those small passive speakers that did not require any power and used to be powered from things like a Walkman you will know what I am talking about. And for similar reasons to there being a lack of bass, there is also a lack of very high frequency response too as you can see from how I have adjusted my graphic a equaliser in the picture attached. so, in a nutshell, if sound quality is really important to you, more important than the ability to hear your environment around you when wearing earphones. Do not buy this product. It is absolutely not for you. If you are not expecting high-quality audio but want something that is more comfortable to use and better sound quality than bone conducting headphones that this is for you. I can imagine the target audience here are runners, joggers, cyclists, and people who need to be able to frequently talk to other people or just simply want to be able to go into shops and not have to keep taking the earphones out etc. Saying this, I found the sound quality to be good enough to enjoy listening to music in such situations. Not only that, but the volume level is high enough that I do not have to run the audio device on full volume. This may change depending on the environment you are using them in. For example, if you are using them on the bicycle on a busy main road, you may want to have them on full volume in order to be able to hear your music or podcast. If you are listening to spoken word podcasts out and about it would be a good idea to find some application back to some kind of dynamic range compression anyway to keep the voices are so loud volume at all times as it is podcasts and spoken word recordings that are most likely to be drowned out by environmental noise. I have included a picture of one of these earphones on my ear. I did read some of the reviews when somebody said that they couldn't understand why anyone would need the medium to large size as the small size would fit anybody without humongous "dobby ears". This is absolutely not true. These ear phones are big enough for my ears as a big person (, 6' 5") but anything much smaller definitely would not work for me. I have also included the graphic equaliser settings that I use on my music player in order to make these earphones sound optimal. I give the product five stars here, because it meets all the criteria that they set out to achieve and the quality of the item appears to be good and the price of the item appears to be very competitive. I haven't tried it, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was comfortable to sleep in these earphones as has been suggested by other people who have reviewed them. Obviously, if you have small ears you may want to look for the other version of this product which is for people with small ears. This one is the one to get if you have the head and ears of a generally medium to big person. The other advantage of this kind of earphone is that they do not intrude into the ears in anyway whatsoever, and as there is no ear pad across the ear lobes, they do not heat up the ears. If you have problems like I do with using earbud type earphones, i.e. the ones that get shoved right into the ear canal, causing irritation and a blockage and things like that then these will also be very useful for you. for me, it is either earphones like these or ginormous full over-ear earphones which are not always practical to be taken out and about. also keep in mind if you are thinking of using this product in an environment such as an office or a bus or train then the level of leakage from these earphones is higher than you would expect from earbuds or even on ear headphones. You would need to keep the volume quite low if you did not want to disturb fellow workers. Obviously if you are going to use these to take phone calls then other people may be able to hear both sides of the conversation. This might not be a problem to you, but it is something to consider.

decent sound
Light weight and easy to wear. Decent sound (adequate). Could be a little longer to align speaker with ear canal. Good to be aware of surroundings but others say they can hear the music as well so perhaps not so good in quiet areas.

Perfect as on-stage "more me" type monitors, a good and cost-effective solution
I needed an open-ear type wired earphone set for a musician so they could hear more of themselves on stage without blocking everything else out. Very low latency needed so wired is the only option. In conjunction with a cheap IEM transmitter/receiver set these have worked absolutely perfectly - I just feed the instrument amplifier preamp output back to the headphones. There's no noticeable bleed, they don't interfere with hearing the other musicians and the fidelity and volume are fine for me for this application. I couldn't have wished for more and for the price, or indeed any price, these are ideal.

Bought to use as Xbox series X gaming headphones
I searched and searched for many different types of headsets to use with my Xbox series X, and eventually found these. I bought them to use with my Xbox as they are super lightweight, and aren't worn over your head. I enjoy gaming, but I have a condition that causes me to have a lot of pressure headaches, which are worsened by typical gaming type headsets as they are bulky and apply additional pressure. With these, as they are so light, comfortable and unintrusive on your ears, that you forget you're wearing them. The sound is crystal clear and it's really good that you can still hear everything going on around you. They don't have a mute button unfortunately, however this can be worked around within your Xbox settings/party chat/game settings. I realise these are intended for use with a phone, but I'm pleased they work well with an Xbox.

NOT COMPATIBLE with radios, music players, wireless audio receivers, etc.
These do NOT work with anything other than a smartphone or similar device. Because they have a TRRS plug and not a standard stereo TRS plug, you will get audio only on one side at best, unless you are using them with a TRRS device, which is basically only phones and tablets. This should be mentioned in the product description. Sound isn't bad for what they are. The amount of poor reviews from people who think these are supposed to fit inside your ears is mind-blowing. They sit outside your ear, as they are supposed to do. They're basically small speakers that hang on your ears. This is the use case I required for them - as on-stage In-Ear-Monitors which kept the ear canals open. Because of the TRRS plug, I can't use them for this purpose but they'd otherwise be ideal.

Doesn't work with wired adapter
It works with a Bluetooth adapter for phones without a 3.5mm jack. Works directly to a device with a 3.5mm jack, like a laptop or an xbox controller setup. But if you attach it to an adapter for phones without a 3.5mm jack it immediately slams the volume down to mute and whatever I do (slide adjusting the volume, using the inlone buttons or the phone volume butto s) it jist keeps slaming down to mute. So kinda rubbish of you ask me.

Favourite gigging headphones
My absolute favourite headphone for playing on my band. Good quality sound, but I like to hear the ambient sound of the room, which this open design allows me to. Cannot find anything else like it anywhere. Unique! Inline volume adjustment and handy little case are a great combo. Excellent value for money.

Very Satisfied
I have an old iPod 4th generation and this works a treat with it. I’m able to listen to my music on the move and whilst gardening. I like the fact that they sit comfortably on your ears and you are still able to hear what is going on around you. The control does pause my music and I can adjust the volume without having to touch my iPod (it doesn’t have the skip or rewind function but I knew that) I have small ears and can’t get on with the ear bud type as they hurt my ears, so all in all I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Geluidskwaliteit is goed. Heb ze nodig omdat als ik mijn gehoorgang afsluit ik oorontstekingen krijg.
