Excellent for your home gym... buy it!
This is a fair and un-compensated review. This is a very sturdy and effective bench. I do not hesitate to recommend it. It is far more than a chest press. Its design lends itself to many more exercises. I especially like the space saving design. This works exactly as it should. Some of been critical of the instructions and assembly process. Are the instructions perfect, no. That said they are more than adequate. In places I wish the instructions were clearer, but again it is NO BIG DEAL. It is relatively easy to assemble. Everything lined up as it should and I had no issues with parts or hardware. I am very happy with this purchase. In fact, I purchased the ab machine from GMWD!

About 6 months in, super awesome!
No complaints on this one at all. Of course for the price I don’t expect this machine to be strong enough to survive a nuclear bomb lol. You can move the arms to the sides if you put strength on it and could possibly bend it, but who the heck works out like that??😂 gotta go read a book if you somehow break this machine. This machine is fantastic, it holds so much weight and really hits the pectorals. There are many levels to the protective bars to lay the arms in once you’re finished working out. You will NEVER need a spotter with this. The machine is very comfortable while working out and is very easy to use and understand. There were no missing parts at all and assembly was very easy with easy to read instructions. I was able to adapt to this machine very quick and easy and you can actually do many exercises with it. I use it for bench pressing and then to work out my back as well. Versatility is good

Great for home use, would buy again.
This is perfect for a home gym setup! It is really well made, easy to put together, and light enough to move around when needed. The weight collars are plastic though, and held onto the spindle via set screw, so not sure how durable that part is, but will be easily replaced if needed. You can leave them off and run the smaller diameter plates if you have those, so that's nice. I don't like the "incline" function at all, because it basically puts you so low to the ground, but it's doable. I got this on a huge Black Friday sale for $185, and super happy about that!

Solid Construction, Feels Good to Use
I really like this machine. I watched some YouTube reviews about it and thought it could work for what I need. A bench press like machine that I can max out to failure without risk of injury or needing a spotter. Combine that with the ergonomic arched range of motion that it has and I think this is a winner. I only knocked off one star because parts of the machine had dings and dents that I don't anticipate will affect functionality or durability. I had a socket wrench set but the nuts and bolts were mostly a bit too big so I had to use a monkey wrench and a small adjustable wrench. I wouldn't even try using the strange throwing star type wrench tool they included. Even with my meager tools I was still able to unbox and put together completely in under 2 hours. No doubt having the appropriate socket wrenches would have sped things up, but I don't believe you need two people to do this. The instructions were adequate, but they weren't as much instructions as they were very clearly labeled diagrams or explosions, showing each part clearly and where each different piece connects and which bolts go where. Surprisingly, the flip up feature does seem to save a lot of space, especially where I've placed this on my porch. One of the reviewers I read said that the bench pad was thin and cheap. The cushioning is plenty and I don't foresee any issues with it. Because I'm leaving this outside and I live in the desert with extreme hot and cold and rain and wind I modified the bench pad seat by leaving it inside the plastic bag, and then wrapping that in spare synthetic leather that I had left over from another project. I did this so that this bench can handle the extreme weather that is coming. Leaving the plastic bag on underneath my additional layer should protect the foam from the elements. I could certainly see how after a year or two outside in extreme heat and rain depending on the quality of the synthetic material that it might disintegrate. Hopefully with this modification I will just have to replace my outer layer but only time will tell. But considering I got this for under $180 in the red color, which looks awesome, even if the entire machine had to be replaced in a few years, the investment would be worth it. Again only one star knocked off because I don't know why there was dents and dings on several of the parts. But the only looks I care about are my future massive pectorals and back that I will get from using this machine.

Good value: see update on squeak
I've been using this for about a month now, and I am quite happy with it. There was one issue with assembly, as the forked bracket on the retractable bench stand (at the foot of the bench) was bent. I had to use a large wrench to bend it straight before it could be attached to the bench. Aside from that, assembly was easy. Having all the hardware in a blister pack with numbered labels is genius - making it almost impossible for parts to be lost or missing. Having all weight disks the same diameter is a bit strange to me, but I am used to it now. And it helps a lot to be able to fold the bench up vertically when not in use, to save space. Update 1/6/2026: Had an annoying squeak that took me a long time to locate. The small grey post that the two cylindrical bearings fit onto is somehow attached to the outer tube in such a way that part of it rubs and it make a very annoying squeak noise. I had to spray a lot of silicone lube into the holes around the grey post, but it finally stopped the noise.

Very easy to put together. The machine feels amazing. One thing I do wish for is to have a little more convergence at the top. But either way, it feels extremely safe to go to absolute failure with this. One big tip is at the starting position, to save your shoulders and give you a little spot, is to use the foot foam rollers included as a pad under the arms. Position it in a way that once you lift off, the pads will fall off so your reps moving forward will have the full stretch ROM without compromising lift off disadvantagious stretched position. Watch budgethomegyms review for actual tip.

Putting it together took a good 45-1hr with a drill(quicker) it looks great and is very sturdy, built well and a good size a bit of a tight fit for a bigger guy but still good. The only thing I have issue with is a couple of spots have plastic coverings, had to worn the guys not to be rough putting weights off and on, but overall this machine moves very smooth and easy to transition from one move to another. Good value for your money, great overall performance from this machine.

This machine is very simple and feels sturdy and robust. No squeaking, cracking or scratching noises. The two arms are sturdy and if you tighten the screws properly, you won't get any "loose" or sideways moving of the arms (as other reviews pointed out). I do suggest using power tools to assemble this product. The machine when folded takes very little space, once again not to sure why people complain about that.... as long as you don't expect a 6000$ value out of it, this machine will satisfy you 100% for the price. Finally, i didn't find any noticeable difference between this machine and the chest press that you would find in a commercial gym. Works as good as any "hammer strength" machine for less money.
