I had originally bought a BrakeFree to be more visible for night riding or just generally - but after it fell off its mount twice, I ended up returning it (the second time I had to fish it out of a center turnout lane in the middle of traffic - not fun!). The mount was just too badly designed to overcome the other good design points. Thankfully the MTSEEN doesn't share this - it has a strong positive click when put on its bracket and doesn't get popped out by bumps, jolts, or even just the back of your collar brushing against it like the BrakeFree did. It's very bright - like if you wear it inside you can navigate in the dark just by shaking your helmet, it lights up the whole room. The sensor is a little more sensitive than the BrakeFree, such that just walking around wearing your helmet at a modestly fast gait will leave your brakelight flashing with every step. That's about the only downside I've seen so far. Charges pretty quick with a USB-C, though I wish the battery indicator was a bit easier to see. I'd heard before it didn't remember the 'mode' it was last on after you turned it off, but this didn't happen with mine - maybe they made some improvements. Pretty much a set it and forget it experience. I recharge it whenever I charge up my helmet intercom/cam and it's all good - maybe every third or fourth day commuting to work (20-50m each way, traffic depending) and back. The other complaint I'd seen was that it was hard to get replacement brackets for it, but I haven't had to install it on a second helmet yet so I can't say for sure. Right now they seem to be in stock on Amazon. The mount itself has some very thick 3M mounting adhesive which doesn't wiggle around and seems very sturdy. So far it's been good and thoroughly unsurprising, which is generally what you want with safety equipment. I guess there are other options that tie in to an ODB2 port to give you turn signal indicators on your helmet, but that seems way more complicated when I have multiple bikes that I rotate through regularly. This is a nice, reasonably priced, reliable solution that took me almost no time to set up - longest part was waiting for the adhesive to set. Definitely feel safer with it on.

I am extremely impressed with this helmet brake light. It is China made, but this is not a cheap Chinese knockoff! It is a well-made product that lives up to its description. While the [Chinglish] instructions may not be perfect, the light functions as intended and is reasonably priced compared to more expensive options. It far surpasses the regular helmet lights I have purchased in the past, as well as those I have assembled myself. Weighing in at 184 gm/6.5 oz, it does add some weight to the helmet, but for motorcyclists with strong necks, this should not be a concern. If you want to increase your visibility and feel safer in traffic, this light is an excellent investment. Its brightness is sufficient to make other vehicles keep a safe distance. It comes with a good quality USB-C cable too, and on a full days riding I only used 1 bar out of 3 of the charge (so the battery will be sufficient for a weeks worth of commuting). I did add a cable anchor at the bottom just to make sure I don't lose it, but this is just me being paranoid - the helmet attachment seems very robust and the additional adhesive primer is a nice touch. I give the MTSEEN five stars without hesitation.

Highly recommend for even greater safety. Much cheaper than the alternative name brand and works great. Easy to apply. The black version looks great on my helmet, an HJC Y17, as it matches the matte black. When turned on you always have a light showing and for normal riding there are about 3 different options for different amount of steady-on light. When it senses a stop, all lights come on and they are bright. There are also some options where, instead of a steady light, you can have various blinking options. Again, when it senses a stop, all lights come on bright. I included pics of two different steady-on options. The option with all the lights is fairly bright but when it senses braking, those same lights jump to a major intensity.

My son and I recently took the course to get our motorcycle endorsements and have now both purchased bikes. Mounted these before we ever got on our bikes and they are an absolute no brainer investment to make your riding experience safer. They work as advertised, and I've had the opportunity to ride behind my son and watch them in action. What's really awesome is that they come on not just when braking, but even during shifts when speed changes are detected, functioning almost as an automatic high mounted brake light. They installed easily with the included alcohol wipe and adhesive promoter wipe and the mount is very secure. I can't give it five stars because of one fundamental problem I've experienced. It's too easy to accidentally knock the light off of the mount when setting down your helmet because of how low it is mounted on the back and how much it protrudes. I have done it numerous times putting my helmet on the wall mounted holder, setting my helmet down on a flat surface, etc.. Just yesterday I had to go back to my desk when leaving work because I set my helmet down on the desk chair and that was enough to dislodge the light without me even noticing until I went to turn it on and it wasn't attached. Depending on your helmet, I would highly recommend mounting it higher if possible, but on both of our helmets, the only mounting position that works is right at the bottom of the helmet. Having said that, the light does mount quite securely when you clip it back on. I'm mostly concerned about having it come off while I'm riding or losing the light because I didn't notice I bumped it off the mount yet again, but even if I did, I wouldn't hesitate to buy a replacement. I view it as an essential piece of safety equipment and would encourage anyone who rides to invest in one. You can buy mounting clips separately if you have multiple helmets so you can use a single light unit for them all.

I’ve never used one of these, but I can say that in the couple days I have used it since I have got it, I have noticed traffic staying further back and I feel a lot safer. I got in the habit of blipping my brake , so traffic would know I was down shifting and decelerating, I don’t have to do that anymore. It’s extremely bright! I think sometimes just my body movement getting ready for shifts or preparing for turns, is enough to make it flash and catch people‘s attention before I even start. Like I said, I noticed traffic is staying way back and I feel a lot safer.

Easy to attach to helmet, strong adhesion. Very bright and charge several long days of riding. Especially great for night riding. Brings an added touch of safety and being SEEN

Light works great but mount is terrible...does not secure light to helmet...had to buy Velcro to secure it...don't buy this product with buying Velcro...👎

This thing is great. Very visible. Out of the three helmets the connector only fits one exactly right. Contours on the other helmets make mounting "different" but not impossible. It seems cars behind me stay way back now...more so than before without the light. Ive even had motorists beside me ask if the light was hooked to my brakes. Other bikers all have said "that thing is awesome". The battery lasts for a couple of days. I use the low setting for normal driving that helps save juice. You must remember to turn it on. Not recommended to try and turn this on when riding. Activate before you go.
