Says it needs adapter on install is there a wiring diagram showing before I purchase have a 97 Boxster

The radio does not come with the ISO harness pig tail. The manual does give wiring instructions, but you'll need to buy the pigtail as well. This is pn AC1111/330

Does the wired microphone plug in the back of the unit somewhere? Or i I have to plug it into the front jack

There is a wireless microphone on the front lower left which works great. Not sure why you need a wired microphone. There is an Aux port on the front lower right.

Can you use the microphone to request/play mp3 tracks from USB, or is it just for phone?

Only phone. But you can use your phone with Bluetooth to do that…

Will this work in a 2001 Dodge Viper?

Will work with any single din radio. It’s the same as any aftermarket radio you’d get online or Best Buy etc.
