Great price and delivery. I used to be a Remo Ambassador drummer but have recently made the switch to Evans as I find them to be more sturdy, longer lasting and more tonal. Glad that Evans incorparates all the qualities that Remo once did... As for buying these from amazon: The heads are all in perfect working order (quality is as expected - same as when I go to my local drum shop), packaging protects the item in the post and as a pro drummer who is in studio all day every day I would highly recomend buying drum products from amazon - I have not yet been dissapointed buy any drum equipment that I have purchased via amazon. As far as buying sticks, heads and drum educational material Amazon are fast becoming my local drum shop :)

Evans Head are AMAZING!
as soon a you tune these up you can hear the difference straight away. i like to use G1s on the bottom of my toms because there a one ply head which is able to sing more. its perfect for the sound im going for.

Complement my Evans G2's nicely.
Bought to complement the Evans G2's coated that i use on my batter heads. Produce a nice rounded mellow sound with this combination.

I bought this along with a G2 for the top of the drum. The G2 is clean and clearly new but this g1 appears to have been used as it has smudge marks and is generally dirty. It seems as though it sat as a bottom skin already. It’s usable but don’t charge new rate. Not impressed.

These G12 heads fill a gap between G1 and G2. (or Remo Ambassador and Emperor) They are a single 12mil ply so they sound like single ply...but they are just a little heavier and durable and controlling. I have found G1s too light and G2s too heavy. These are in a real good place between!
