Quality versatile radio microphones that actually work well!
Really good quality audio and has a large reception range (think school playing field). Only niggle is that the two radio mics are on a single audio chanel and not one left / other right. Good battery life and receiver can be charged while in use with any interfere or hum. Good dynamic range. Would buy again.

Impressed for the price
I'm a professional musician and sound engineer. And bought this as a back up. Used it in a public event and have to say I had no issues. A little EQ was needed as the hand held mike is a little dark sounding. But for the money its a good quality item that works! Range was good. I found placing the receiver into the mic clip of a mic stand and using a short xlr adapter into the mixer worked really well. I did try the angled 6.5mm adapter as my mixer inputs are at the rear and it did what I expected and didn't stay upright. This would be better to have had an angled 6.5mm to xlr adapter. Room for improvement but other wise I'm impressed with both performance and build quality for this price range. Will be keeping this in the kit bag for sure.

Decent but gains are very delicate
The difference in volume between the handheld and headset is vast. The output gains cannot be adjusted and compared to my wired mic it's extremely heavy on the power output. The headset is vastly louder than the handheld. Just about unusable. No gain control on the pack. Pay more and get something you can adjust.

Good piece of kit with a misleading description for EU users.
This is a really nice piece of kit. The quality of the signal is good and the receiver being able to handle two channels at the same time is really nice. I mostly use these in rehearsal rooms, small band setups or events, or as backups/additional units for larger shows. I like the Phenyx Pro band, the quality and pricing of their products. Unfortunately, the product description of this item is misleading for EU users. It states '2x15 UHF tuneable frequencies in 902 - 928MHz', but when testing the unit I found only 10 channel options - 5 in Channel A and 5 in Channel B. Looking through the tiny print in the manual I found the following: 'US version has 15 frequencies for each transmitter. EU version has 5 frequencies for each transmitter'. Also, the range for these 10 EU frequencies are 823MHz-831MHz, not 902-928MHz. This information regarding EU changes is not stated on the Amazon production page from what I can see. Also not stated is that while the belt pack transmitter can use both Channel A and B (10 frequency options), the handheld transmitter can only use Channel A, limiting it to only 5 frequencies. Again, another significant reduction from stated making the unit less flexible than advertised. This is disappointing. While I would never use 30 of these units together, when using these as backups or additional units in a larger setup and dodging channels used by others, only having 10 frequencies (or 5 when using the handheld) to choose from rather than 30 really narrows my options. Overall, a really piece of kit for the money, but let down by a mis-leading description... unless you buy it in America.

Lasted 5 months
Reciever does not hold charge anymore. It's unuseable. No redress!

I have been curious about these types of wireless systems, but wasn't sure how good the quality would be in this price range and with this dongle type of reciever. First of all, I love the way this system was boxed. It was packaged very well with a type of foam insert and a cutout to fit each piece perfectly. In fact, I plan to either buy or build a case for this system and put this foam insert in it. Everything feels like good quality. The handheld mic does feel a bit light, which is nice because you don't want to carry anything too heavy around during a whole 2 - 4 hour show, but I also wouldn't mind just a little more weight to this one component. I first fully charged the reciever and body pack transmitter before hooking anything up. I like that the system came with the dual charging cable included. It was also nice that the 90 degree adapter and the 1/4" to 1/8" audio adapters were also included. I turned on the reciever and the handheld mic. They paired up very easily and changing channels was a breeze. I then turned on the body pack transmitter and it also paired right up, then I changed the channel and again, it was a breeze. I wasn't sure if changing channels was going to be tricky or not, but the reviever does a great job at automatically detecting the channel change from the transmitters and adjusting itself accordingly. I first tried the handheld mic just speaking into it and was instantly impressed with the sound quality as I adjusted the sound on my mixing console. Then I gave it the real test singing a few songs with power vocals. This thing took it and produced a very clean, dynamic sound without getting overpowered or distorted. It provides a very crisp, clean sound. Great highs and mids. It also provides great low end without sounding muddy. I then decided to try the body pack transmitter, first with the headset mic. I was really blown away at how great this headset sounds. Speech or singing with power vocals, it sounded just as great as the handheld mic. The only difference is that with the headset I had to boost the low EQ just a bit more, but I was very impressed. Again, very clean and crisp sound. The clip on mic also worked wonderfully, basically the same as the headset. The headset with this system sounds as good or better than some I used to use that used to cost over $500 (and weren't even wireless), then had to be ran through a dedicated 31 band EQ. This headset sounds incredible plugged straight into the board. The wireless signal was super clean and there was absolutely zero interference or crosstalk when using both transmitters simultaneously. Of course the only drawback is not being able to control volume and EQ of both mics separately with this reciever, but the handheld and headset are so closely matched that it's not much of an issue and, for me, I will rarely use both at the same time anyway. The only thing I would like to see with this system is a little better background noise separation/rejection in the handheld mic element, but it is still a very great quality microphone as is the headset and this entire system overall is just very impressive to me, especially at this price point. I play music and sing in bands, run sound as well as run my own mobile DJ/karaoke and videography/video production services, so I have used many mics and wireless systems over the years and I am happy to add this system to my audio aresenal. if you're on a tight budget, this is system is a great choice. If you're not on a tight budget, you should still give this one serious consideration. I may not choose this over top of the line systems, but I definitely would put it up against many more expensive systems I have had and used. I'd definitely buy it again.

I recently received this mic and finally got to do a thorough test... Shipping: INSANELY Fast. I received my order in about 30 hours of placing it. Which is usually unheard of. Packaging: The box is neat, feels nice and sturdy. Graphics are nice as well. Everything is in a foam cutout inside so it's kept safe in transit - and makes it easy to see all the accessories/pieces to the system. Handheld Mic: I've had experience with the PDP-1, and this is essentially identical to that. Connecting to the transmitter is a breeze. Battery life is amazing. I had a 4.5 hour gig that I used this for and it did not drop signal once, the battery used maybe one bar and that didn't happen until the last 30 minutes. It's a very hot mic - so tons of wiggle room when running through a board. Sound quality was crisp. There is some handling noise from the microphone. But when playing with a band and other sound is happening - you don't notice. Now if you're using this as a public speaking mic, you might hear it depending on how aggressive the speaker is with handling the mic. I also tested this with being hooked up to a harbinger speaker in the basement and went upstairs to the farthest points east and west in the house. I even went out into the garage with no drops or interference. 🤘🏼 Headset: We have been looking for a solution for our drummer to be able to contribute on vocals without having more clutter of a mic stand behind his kit. I've been shopping around for a wireless headset for him to keep things neater - but wasn't sure what we should pull the trigger on. I am please to say that this is an amazing and cost effective solution. Lavalier: I tested this running through a PA and through a Canon 5dMkIV. Sound quality is crisp. It does pick up a LOT of background noise such as if you're moving a lot and it's rubbing on clothing or if you bump it. It was a hotter mic than the headset and handheld. Overall - I'm wildly impressed with this microphone system. I would absolutely recommend this anyone interested in finding a versatile wireless microphone option. This set allows me to use it in a band setting, or for while I'm shooting video and interviews. Comes with a 12 month manufacturer warranty and lifetime supportive customer service. Of which, Phenyx pro is VERY responsive - something that is a huge perk as well. 10/10 recommend!

Phenyx Pro PDP-2-1H1B Wireless Microphone Review I recently received the Phenyx Pro PDP-2-1H1B and was immediately impressed by its solid construction. The build quality feels durable, and setup couldn’t have been easier — truly a plug-and-play experience. Compared to other Phenyx mics I own, this model stands out for having noticeably less handling noise. Whether you're switching hands or just moving around, it stays quiet, which is a big plus during live use. Battery life is another strong point; it runs reliably for extended sessions without power issues. The rechargeable receiver is a thoughtful touch that helps cut down on battery costs over time. That said, the mic does come with a few sonic quirks. It’s very heavy on the low end. I found myself needing to cut around 122 Hz by about 10 dB and boost the highs to get a more balanced tone. Once EQ’d, it performs well and has solid wireless range. Overall, the PDP-2-1H1B is a good budget-friendly option for casual or semi-pro use. While I wouldn’t rely on it for a high-stakes professional show, it’s a solid performer for the price. UPDATE: I got to use the PTU 4200 on a show. I believe this is the same mic capsule. I was able to get a good sound from this unit. So I’m updating my review on this item. I first tried it on a smaller sound system. This was on my festival system. which is custom EAW 750.
