This was my favorite hair curler until it died and would not charge. 7/1/24 Update Thankfully I was able to get a replacement curler and bought a different c type charging block with a higher wattage. I used it with the power it already had and again after charging it. It charged as it should. I would suggest buying the one from tymo that comes with the charger to avoid frustration. I will update if it fails again. I love how easy it is to use and how pretty it curls so I really hope not 🙏 Update: 7/4/24 I can confirm it takes a few hours to charge. I don’t mind since I’m only using it for 25 min tops. It seems to be good for two uses and it loses power. I’ve been charging a few hours before I go to bed so it’s ready when I wake up but the curls last all day! If I didn’t shower daily they probably would last longer. It also heats very quickly. Satisfied. 8/14/24 Last update. I’ve been using this for a month. I have no problems using it while it’s plugged in! I don’t have to wait for a full charge if I’m in a hurry.

Update: I am on a second one and have confirmed that this doesn’t charge with its own cable, I do want try the one that comes with its own power brick but don’t know if that would work. Extremely disappointed:( as it does do good curls but what’s the point if you can’t use when you need it. Update: I am in double mindset now coz it takes too long to charge.. it’s been 30 mins already and still not charged completely. And you can’t tell ho much it has charged coz there is no display to show your the percentage .. so if it’s an emergency then it will hold charge only for 10 mins (after 15 mins of charging)before dying .. felt so bad as I did only half head and the. Had to switch to other curler and curls were not same.. but the one that I did with tymo, did hold for three days no problem! It’s a small yet powerful curler. I purchased this with its Tymo spray too and the result is amazing .. it took me 20-25 mins for entire head . I have around 15-20 inch hair and I only did the end portion.. I don’t think it can handle closer to roots coz of length. Very happy with the curler and suggested my friends also to get one :) for the back I need lil help to give me correct section though.

I'm sort of addicted to Tymo products. I've bought a few that I didn't need or were redundant. But I prefer to have some curl in my arrow-straight hair and so I'm always wishing...hoping...dreaming. I've had a first-generation automatic curler before and my hair got tangled. It was also big and had a cord. So when Tymo came out with this cordless version that assures me it won't tangle, I forked over the bucks. The first thing I noticed is that it came in packaging that was not as nice as previous products I've purchased from Tymo, but the curler itself is good quality. I have not yet figured out how to change the temperature setting, so that's a bit frustrating, and it took a couple of tries to get my hair in just right, but once that was resolved, things were rocking and curling. The fact that this is cordless and rechargeable is just such a game-changer! It's so much easier to use. No tangles, as promised, and the hair ends are nicely and smoothly curled, which is a much more classy curl than the blunt/straight ends we seem to be moving away from these days. You won't be able to get the curling rod part very close to the scalp, so building volume still has to be done with styling products and properly and completely blow-drying before styling. I'm not just happy with this curler, I'm in love!

I'm an old school curling iron user from the 80's big hair days... I've tried different irons in my life that didn't work for me, like the glove and wand type and another of this rotating type to no avail. HOWEVER, after a few youtube tutorials, I was able to get this one down! It's great for off grid camping since you can charge it up, plus no cord to tangle and get in the way. As long as you use small sections of hair and have the time to put into it (I have really really long hair!), this is an excellent and easy to use device. I'm glad I finally found another curling iron I can use. Well worth the price.

Great concept, but I charged it for 2 days and no power. I've never got it to work or use it. Don't buy save your money. Unfortunately, my window for return expired with Amazon two months ago. UPDATE REVIEW: I was shocked the company reached out me several months after seeing my negative review and offered to replace defective item or refund. WOW!!!! They stand by their product!! I opted for refund because I already purchased another curler and don’t need two. They issued refund the next day!

Dear Tymo, Having tried many similar hair curling products in my life, I think you have the best potential product. The curls last A LONG time! However, I only used it TWICE because the item I bought has major flaws which prevent me from using it. 1. There is no way to alternate the temperature levels even if the prospect mentions a temperature button that offers 3 temperature level options. It doesn’t work. 2. Due to 1) a smoke comes out when I try to curl the hair and burns the ends 3. The battery runs out pretty fast. Moreover, I tried to use it yesterday for the 3rd time only to discover that the handle starts heats as well. If you have any solutions, please let me know. In an abundance of caution, I will not use it. I will also not recommend it.

So excited to have this for touch up and easy use for travel. I got it for my mom March 2025 and its December 2025 and it motor stopped working and is broken. Would not recommend. Update Jan 2026: (changed from 1 star to 3) Seller reached out to me after this review and refunded me the price that I paid. I am impressed. Since they were so responsive and my mom did enjoy this product before, I'm buying again! It is $10 more expensive than I bought before ($86.19 now is $96.96), but I really hope I can edit this review in a year to say the product is still working well.
