I purchased the beige and silvery tiebacks which match my curtains and do just what I wanted. Some people commented that the ties were too long but you can purchase the same ties from this company in a smaller size, approx 13". They're called minis. I highly recommend.

Magnets are strong. Love that I can rearrange them to make my curtains short or long or pretty much put them however
