Really nice desk. Went together easily, plenty of spare fasteners. It does come in two boxes, which may or may not arrive at the same time, which worried me when Amazon says "delivered" when you are still waiting for the second box, but it did arrive. We're really happy with the results, it looks great in the office and the flexibility of rolling the "short L" section (with the drawers) around as needed is really sweet as well.

Very good set, I even bought one more of the side cabinet/archive and it looks great. One thing I would mention is: the desk surface is composed by 4 wood boards (thick, good). Most of them got assembled perfectly, but one of them got a big of a step between the boards. Luckly it's a part of the desk I don't access that much, but if I would use this desk without the side cabinet that gap would probably annoy me a lot.

Desk set comes in pieces but if you take your time and follow their instructions , it will take one person about 3-4 hours to assemble with hand tools only. The wood is particle board , so must use hand tools and carefully else you may damage board. Instructions are very good and highly recommend you read them carefully. Once together , the desk is very study to my surprise with metal framing and looks very nice . The other small piece is good but don’t move around too much on carpet. Overall it’s a nice value and once built don’t move it much … will not hold up to bumps, shifts and pressure that well. If you build in place where it will be it’s perfect for a low cost solution. Recommend for DIY person .

This is a great set, great price, and it’s very sturdy, but a bit time consuming to put it together, especially the drawer stand. But I have figured out how to put it together using YouTube videos and taking my time to really study the instructions. If you take the time and read the instructions and look at the detail, it is clear and concise. It’s just taking me a while to get it done as I take time to research how to do it as I go, so I don’t have to take anything apart. I am putting it together by myself, but there are certain parts that a second person helping would have made it easier, like putting the backside onto the desk part. I am a retired female so if I can do it, anyone can do it lol

The one star is not for the desk itself, it’s for the mislabeling of all of the parts for the cabinet. The desk went together nicely and all parts were included. I like it and it seems sturdy. The file cabinet that came in a separate box was a nightmare. At first I thought there were 5 missing pieces, but it turned out that all of the parts and hardware were mislabeled. Also, there were pieces included that weren’t in the manual or list of parts. It would appear that they changed the parts but didn’t send an updated manual. My brother (engineer type) was able to “wing” it and put it together, but most people would not have been able to. Now that it’s together, the cabinet itself is nice. Again, the one star isn’t for the desk and cabinet but for the mislabeling of parts and instruction manual.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Viewed SEVERAL other desks and always came back to this one, so glad I did as I love it. Easy Assembly, comfortable to sit at, has a lot of room and love the shelve underneath. Very attractive looking and at a great price!

This desk is a like a kit. You put it together. It comes with instructions which we did not find difficult to follow. It was well packaged with great corner protectors and arrived with no shipping damage. I worried about the top being in more than one piece, but the adjoining pieces do not interfere with aesthetics or functionality of the desk. We did an inventory of parts and pieces as was suggested. It took about 4 hours to assemble the filing cabinet and 3 hours to assemble the desk. I found this desk to be a good size for home use, functional and far more attractive than anything I could find locally. And the price is reasonable. Note that the filing drawer is small as is the drawer for pencils and supplies. Also, one cannot add a center drawer as the frame prevents that. I agonized over purchasing such a large item online. And I admit that sometimes negative reviews do influence me. But I'm happy with this purchase and do not hesitate to recommend it.

Ok quality. Not as sturdy as other products by the same seller. I bought a cabinet from Tribesigns that had excellent finishing and a great sturdy way to put it together, so when I went to put this together, the quality difference was very obvious. The screws and plastic were lesser quality and the whole thing doesn't quite feel secure. Also, I was very disappointed to realize that the metal is black but the dark-colored "wood" is charcoal. This is NOT made clear in the description and it looks kind of tacky, and now it looks even more tacky next to the other higher quality, black piece that I bought. Also, the backside of the side cabinet has ugly, tacky-looking WHITE plastic pieces you screw in to keep the back together. It is a huge eye-sore and takes the look from something somewhat professional to something kind of trashy. It is not that sturdy, especially compared to the other TribeSigns product, but hopefully will hold up alright. Also, the instructions are wrong/poorly written, so you really need to pay attention and use common sense over the instructions. I usually love putting together this kind of stuff, but I had to disassemble and reassemble the smaller side piece twice because the instructions were wrong or unclear. If it's not too late, I will consider returning it.
