Gasket Paper 0.4mm Thick 2 x Sheets Flexoid Brand

Used this on my model steam loco. I bought it for my friend, Archie Duke, who wanted to seal the steam dome of his locomotive. By far the best material for steamtightness.

Used gasket paper for a long while when I was a fitter in a previous life, also used to use the old paper folders if we were hard up for gasket paper. Always use the ball end of a ball pein hammer very gently on the faces and edges to cut the gasket. Seal with some Hylomar Blue and job's a good 'un. Bought this for an old Stihl strimmer that was made in 1994 someone had given me. When I stripped it down all of the gaskets were shot. You can't get the gasket kits any longer so I made my own. It'll do car and machine tool gearboxes, diff. gaskets, vent gaskets etc if you want. Flexoid is made in UK and is generally considered one of the finest makes of gasket paper and gaskets worldwide. A worthy addition to any serious toolkit.

I bought this to replace an exhaust gasket that was impossible to cut to size. Glad I did. Easily cut with scissors, and coupled with exhaust paste it did a great job. Two sheets arrived, so I doubled them up with two identical templates. Worked perfectly

a little bit thin to use on a petrol mower carb. will buy thicker next time.
