If anyone is wondering, These are definitely not solid brass. The screws are magnetic too and brass isn't magnetic. I don't even think the plating is brass. How do I know? I work in engineering and design metal parts. I know what brass feels like. It's heavy because brass is made of cooper and zinc or copper and tin. It's a dense material and even small brass screws have a mass that you can feel in your hand. Don't buy. I just printed the return label.

These are very nice cleats. Well constructed with no lines from the molding process.We put two up about eight inches apart and weave our blind cord between the two. Nice safety feature with three kids in the house.
