My porch lighting project benefitted immensely from these sturdy, well-crafted turnbuckles. I had two from a lighting kit, but wanted the flexibility of adjusting individual cable lengths. This was the best value I could find and they worked perfectly.

I liked the quality of this item. With the aid of a short length of wire attached to the end loop on this unit ... and the other end attached to a tension pulley on my riding lawnmower ... I was able to turn (tighten) the turnbuckle on the unit which pulled the pulley ... tightening the belt to a position where I could tighten the adjustment bolt to keep the belt tight!

Good quality, not superb, but worked fine for my requirement. Using these mid-span in cable ropes used as an anti-sag in some 12 foot fence gates I built, buy using the hook & eyes, I started in a wide-open position and cranked them closed (pulling on the cables on both ends) to adjust the support until the gates hung level.

Work perfectly for a clothesline. You have to pull the line up fairly tight before attaching these to the end, as the line will stretch a bit, and after they've been up for awhile, it stretches again, but it is a simple matter to untie and re-tie. They work perfectly and are not too big for this purpose. I am using paracord for the clothesline. Perhaps a vinyl coated wire would be better, as it doesn't stretch, but also it would be more difficult to pull tight initially, or to re-tie.

Used these to tension a 3/16 wire under my chain link fence to keep the dog from pushing underneath. Used one at each end and used these to tension the wire. Worked great, able to get quite a bit of tension without any problems with the hooks. Smaller than I was thinking they would be, but had plenty of room to tension the wire along my longest span (approximately 90 feet). Holding up well without any issues. Did take approximately two weeks to arrive since shipping from China, but was aware of that from other reviews. Much better value than buying from the big box store and definitely worth the wait.

I was looking for something a lot bigger. I guess i didnt understand how they measured these. They look good and they’re well constructed but too small for my garden trellis

You always wonder when purchasing a product that you can’t touch and feel: is it really going to be what I had hoped for?! These tension hooks are perfect and much less expensive than what I was finding in my local hardware store. I highly recommend this product. I have several of them in use outside in my garden, and I couldn’t be happier!

We have never used these but they seemed like they would make installation easier. We unwound clothesline and stretched it out prior to installing. We then cut to length and installed and it definitely made getting lines tight easier but in the wind two of them keep unscrewing and we find the line down once with clothes on and once later in the evening. We have never had this issue so prob just a fluke. 3 stars for idea and ease of install but -2 stars for cost paid given issue we are having We are not hassling with returning because of drive time to do so but u might want to install before return window closes just incase you have this issue.

Bought a pack of five and was so impressed with the quality and value that I immediately ordered another two packs. They will be ideal for many applications, such as tensioning gardening wire, and being stainless steel should be rust resistant. They are very neat and well finished. Fully screwed in they are about 4inches (100mm) long and have 45mm to 50mm extension. Being only M4 they will not be as strong as M6 ones, but will be quite strong enough for many applications and much more compact and neater than M6 units. They don't have as much extension as typical M6 units, so if you need more than 50mm extension these would not be suitable. They come on a slow boat from China, which can take a month, or so, and you need to order them well in advance of when you need them. It would seem the "5PCS M4 Stainless Steel 304 Hook Eye Turnbuckle Wire Rope", from Ballen Ma, are a bit less expensive and the M5 turnbuckles I got from them were very good.
