For the price, this is hands down the best carpet cleaner I’ve found. It cleans fabrics incredibly well and leaves behind an amazing fresh scent that actually lasts for weeks, not just a few hours. With a young son, spills are just part of everyday life. Juice, snacks—you name it. I used to get upset when something hit the carpet, but now I don’t stress at all. I know this cleaner has my back. It removes stains easily and leaves carpets and furniture smelling so good that it’s honestly satisfying to use. Busy house, busy life—and this stuff keeps everything looking and smelling like new. Highly recommend if you want great results without spending a fortune.

This pet stain remover does a decent job on both stains and odors. I had to wash the carpet 3–4 times to fully get rid of the smell, but it did eventually work. I found that the key to eliminating the odor was also giving the room proper ventilation for a couple of days. Once that was done, the carpet looked and smelled much better. Overall, it’s effective, but be prepared for a bit of extra effort if the odor is strong.

*Note: this review is based on my experiences using this carpet cleaner outside of the recommended machine use* I have pets & need a carpet cleaner spray for pet accidents on a old wool rug. This rug is LARGE & OLD. I'm not worried about ruining it, so I will try different products on it for carpet cleaning purposes. I mix the Amazon brand cleaner (2-3 oz) in a spray bottle filled the rest of the way with water. Shake it well before each use & spray directly onto rug. Always ensuring that I have a thick towel under the section that I'm spraying & cleaning. Using a soft brush, I lightly scrub, then place another towel on top & walk all over the area to absorb the liquid. Repeat the process a second time with plain water (to act as a "rinse" process). This has helped to dramatically reduce & remove pet odor and any visible spots/stains. One of the biggest Pro's is the smell. It's very lightly scented. Almost like a minty smell. It does not smell like you are trying to cover anything up with fragrance. Which I appreciate. I haven't tried it in my carpet machine, but based on how well it works manually, I would say that it is worth a try. I have noticed some color fade from my rug. Mainly the areas that are a red/maroon color. I expected this because again it's old, it's wool, and the cleaner contains peroxide. Peroxide removes color from many fabrics. So, I do advise to spot check your rugs/carpets before use. Especially any darker colored ones. The price of this carpet cleaner is incredibly fair. Much less expensive that alot of the other brands. I definitely feel that the value exceeds expectations. Again, I am using 2-3 oz at a time in a standard spray bottle diluted with water, so a bottle of this stuff lasts me months. If you are value conscious and want a good product without an obnoxious amount of fragrance, then you should give it a try. It's definitely on my "buy again" and "always keep on hand" lists!

With a new puppy, a good pet stain and carpet cleaner is essential. This product has a pleasant, elegant scent and works perfectly with my BISSELL, without the extra cost of the name brand. It leaves my carpets smelling fresh, and I’ve seen a noticeable improvement on both indoor and outdoor carpets.

Cleans very well smells way better than most pet stain cleaners but it does foam up quite a bit when it contacts pet urine

I'll be honest, I was really excited to try this Amazon Basics carpet cleaner because I've heard great things about the brand. And it does work well - I used it on a tough wine stain on my couch and it came out almost completely. The fresh scent is also a nice touch, it's not overpowering like some other cleaners I've used. However, I'm really disappointed with the bottle design. The cap is super loose and I swear it's been leaking all over my storage room. But the real kicker is that my particular bottle has a weird sediment at the bottom that doesn't mix with the rest of the cleaner, no matter how much I shake it. I've used other cleaning products from Amazon Basics before and never had this issue, so I'm guessing it's just a defect with this one bottle. Still, it's frustrating because I don't know if it's going to affect the cleaner's performance. Despite these issues, I'm still giving this product 3 stars because it does get the job done. I'll just have to be more careful with the bottle and hope the sediment doesn't affect its effectiveness. Maybe I'll just transfer it to a different bottle or something. For the price, it's a decent product, but I expect better quality control from Amazon Basics.

I've been trying to find a good cleaning solution for my heavy traffic carpet area for awhile now and haven't gotten great results with the expensive brands. I was debating between this and odoban so I got them both and tested them side by side. Both this and odoban out perform resolve, Bissell, hoover, and angry orange spot cleaner. I'd rate the 2 about the same for cleaning power and both brought up an enormous amount of dirt from my carpeted area that was just cleaned with name brand products about a month prior to me going over it with these 2. The odoban container is much bigger and lasts much longer than this. Both have very light scents that don't hang around, however this one differs because it has a chlorine smell. While you're using it it smells like a hotel pool towel. Like I said tho the scent doesn't hang around but it's still kind of odd when you're using this. If you're looking for something that ACTUALLY works on high traffic areas with dirt, spills, dog messes, etc, I highly recommend this and also the odoban carpet cleaning solution
