Decently Cheap, but Sound Fantastic.
I am not someone who is has much experience in the HiFi audio scene but I instantly noticed an increase in audio quality with the JM6 Pro compared to the Anker 3.5mm to USB C DAC, this dac/amp is cheap and good for headphones that are not difficult to run which makes it a decent choice for travel. But I will say that the build quality of the cable doesn't seem the best, which could have some people running into durability issues.

It is like you are in the studio listening to it as it was recorded
Short version: Absolutely perfect lossless sound on AKGs and Bose over the ear headphones while plugged into iphone 15 pro max and iphone 17 and other apple products. God they sound good when streamed with Apple’s lossless option. Long version: Who needs to know more? Well… we all base our decisions on numerous input. So here goes. There are a number of options with the DAC CX31993 & MAX97220. Many similar in the customer rating. After narrowing down the ratings to over 4, I then looked at how many ratings there were for each adapter and eliminated any of the choices that were under 100 reviews. Then narrowed it to the two with high ratings and over 200 reviews. Reading through each review posted, on both positive and negative. Then chose the JCALLY JM6 Pros. Had never heard of the brand before this. Just wanted to try them out. About the adapter: These make you feel like you are sitting in the studio where the music is being mixed. They sound like the day they were recorded. But, you have to have excellent headphones to take advantage of what it is capable of playing. What that means is, the song sounds as if you were there when it was made. Not a bunch of lost bits that muddy the sound. For example, I have a pair of really cheap $10 Sonys for light work that doesn’t need to be crisp. It also means you need to have a recording that hasn’t been transferred from device to device repeatedly, where bits could be lost or are streaming on a low quality. Be careful what you ask for though, because you learn which songs weren’t mixed well. In one of the Queen songs, “I want it all” I could hear a noise from when the guitar was added in the middle of the song for a solo. It was really harsh. It looks and feels durable. Colors are as represented. Have only tried it on apple products directly into the C connector. Did not use any adapters and used a limited number of headphones, because most of those I have are bluetooth. Functions properly with no need to do anything but plug it in to headphones and the device connector. Just turn the music on and it works fine with no additional work needed. There was plenty of power in the included MAX97220 to use in our studio monitor gold AKGs. In fact, did not have to turn the volume the whole way up to get quality sound. Told my recording musician and hypercritical audiophile spouse about them and what a pleasure it was to listen to assorted music. Thinking spouse would find something negative to say about the JM6 Pro USB C Type-C to 3.5mm Dual DAC CX31993/Max97220 adapter. Instead he was quite pleased with the device and asked for the link. The only negative was that you do not get the 3D spacial auditory experience that some of the bluetooth connections offer. Unfortunately, I do not have any powered spatial sounding headphones that allow you to connect via wire. I use the song “Baba O’ Reilly” by The Who to test that functionality on new headphones. You do get stereo sound without any issues though. That being said, there is some loss on all my bluetooth options (apple airpods 3 and 2, Bose Quiet Comfort in several models), which muddies the sound just a bit. Advantage goes to the adapter though for clean, crisp lossless sound. Will have to check to see if anyone has plug in sound with spatial options. I read some of the reviews that mention a different type of headphone I had not heard of before. Going to research those. The price of $17.99 full price I paid seems cheap when compared to the ridiculous amount of money spent on some of the headphones out there. And they sound better than any bluetooth headphones I have ever heard/purchased from the crispness of the sound. Finally, I do not like sticking earbuds in all the time. They have to be cleaned regularly and do block the ear canal. Which can lead to ear infections when there are trapped little infectious critters. Which means I have to regularly disinfect the earbud where it goes into the ear and that can be tricky business with the air pods. As they are not the least bit waterproof.

Awesome product
This is definitely an essential item to own. It performs equally well, if not better, than an external DAC that costs $140. I have it hooked up to a Windows 11 computer using Equalizer APO along with the Peace interface, and my headphones deliver incredible sound quality.

Just try it. It's well worth the low cost.
The quality of sound compaired to listening over bluetooth on my Sony XM5s is amazing. From my knockoff XSTs to my Truthear X Crinacle Blue2s, this thing sounds amazing. I'm no audiophile. I'm just experimenting to see if i can hear a difference. The JM6 adapter on my Galaxy s23 Ultra really allowed me to see that there is better sound than what bluetooth can offer with LDAC enabled. I have the following BT audio gear: Sony WH-1000XM4, Sony WF-1000XM4, Sony WF-1000XM5, Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro (gen 1). I'm listening to CD quality audio, HiRes digital audio, and supposed HiRes streaming. I was also using the PowerAmp EQ app to find tube the sound. There was no night and day difference between using the adapter with wired IEMs and listening over bluetooth, but there was a difference. Imagine listening from the front row while a band plays live. Then, imagine doing the exact same thing, but there is a thick stage curtain between you and the band. Not enough to fully muffle the sound, but enough to muddy it noticeably. This is the level of audio difference i was hearing. Don't take my word for it. It's cheap and returns are easy. Just give it a try. Also, if you have never heard it before, try listening to some 8D audio. You can just search YouTube for it. It will completely change your understanding on what sound stage is and how capable 2 channel audio can be.

Solid build, plenty of power but high noise floor with IEMs
I purchased two of these as a power upgrade over the Apple dongle to use with my iPhone. The JM6 can comfortably power my Dan Clark Aeons and Hifiman Edition XS while still being quiet enough to use with IEMs. It can also take much more daily abuse than the Apple dongle. Unfortunately for critical listening with IEMs the JM6 has an audible noise floor. For this use case I much prefer the Apple dongle which is dead silent. I’ll still keep the JM6 in my car and backpack to take out and about, but for quiet at home listening I’ll look for something else.

Good quality, louder IEMs
I purchased these to use with my first IEMs. The apple dongle adapter I was using on my Galaxy S25 sounded almost muted at full volume. With this dongle it allowed the full potential of my IEMs.

Great sound quality at a great price
I was a little skeptical that a USB-C to 3.5mm DAC would make any real difference, but this JCALLY JM6 Pro surprised me. My lossless audio sounds noticeably clearer and fuller using this compared to a basic adapter. I plug my Beats Studio Pro headphones into it, and I can even take phone calls with everything connected, which was a nice bonus. For the price, it honestly feels like a great value. I took a bit of a risk based on a few reviews, and I'm glad I did. I've been using it almost every day for a couple of months, and it still looks and works like new. If you want better sound from your phone without spending a ton, this is absolutely worth it. Of note, there are probably other options for better sound quality, but from what I found, you're getting into studio-quality sound and, frankly, studio prices.

I was reading/watching a lot of reviews of different DACs and decided to purchase this one, and I'm super happy with the purchase. I have been using the DAC for the last 10 days with Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro (80 ohm), and I want to share my experience. -It definitely has enough power to boost the Beyerdynamic. I'm usually at about 75% volume. -The sound is good to my ears. -The USB C and headphone jack connectors are solid. -It doesn't get warm. -It's small and convenient to walk around with. For warranty/return reasons, I have bought it here on Amazon for 21€, but I saw that on other platforms, one can get it much cheaper.

Consiglio l'acquisto!

Great DAC and amp. No noticeable distortion even at highest volumes. Drives headphones without issue. Allows for a vast range of sample rates for great exclusive mode. Also supports microphone input/line in functionality.

Bought these along with Zero: Blue 2’s - for PC gaming/discord/youtube/music. First time using IEMs and this dac was recommended many times through reddit posts. Works as intended. Delivered quickly to Aus.
