These installed really easily. My bumper was barely hanging on, I put 2 on each side. The first one held up great, the second one there was some testing and trial to get it lined up. It wore out kind of quick, but just put another one and now holds like a champ. Good bang for you buck, if one wears out just a slap a new one on there. Went through the car wash and it did perfect.

I ordered the larger set to use on my hot rod '84 Corvette. I chose this style specifically because these have a wide range of use as well as versatility when it comes to installation location, materials, and angles. My hood opens at the back near the windshield, and the round latch location will be in a flat area, but at an angle. The ball head pin will allow the latch to be at angle while the pin can be installed straight up and down. With my hood opening in reverse, I am also not as worried about overall strength and I can get away with using a button lin latch like this for better aesthetics. The latch operates easily and consistently. The latch also has a gasket to protect paint and keep water out. The threaded backing ring allows for fitment of the latch through materials up to about 3/4" thick, and comes with a variety of different length set screws to lock the ring into place. These are priced decently, but not super high quality or show quality. The exterior latch is machined very well with no blemishes, but the under hood portion, threads, and backing ring do have knicks and scratches out of the box.

Quick-Release? More like AUTO release! The pins remove themselves at the first sign of a bump! They don't hold and are built poorly. Not even worth the cheap price because I emede dup paying with damage to my bumper from it falling off 3 times already, getting stuck under the car and melting from the exhaust. I installed 6 of them to distribute the load, would have done 8 but 2 came defective out the box. I can't even replace these with a different style because I made permanent holes in my bumper so I'm stuck with anxiety every time I hit a bump, had a hard drill a bolt through the middle just make sure the bumper doesn't end up under the car again. Not a good time.

These are OK if you want to mound a hood. You must make sure that you use the big ones for the hood if not, and you choose the smaller ones I have had instances where the hood flies up and smashes the windshield. For being not an original quick latch product, I will say that the quality and durability seems to be pretty good as the functionality. The coding on them seems to be nice as well. I have used these on a few of my customers cars now and I have no problems. The price point is decent compared to what other manufacturers are charging .
