These are hinges that have a certain amount of friction to them. I had a fan that I wanted to be able to swing out into the room and have it stick there. It's well made and it works great.

Well made hinges. Just what I needed.

These are good quality hinges with a nice tight fit.

Too tight. This would be probably good on wood but plastics it would crack or fracture them through time. It would be nice if there was an adjustment via spring/allen wrench to determine the tension profile.

Decent hinge. Appears to be durable but doesn't have a locking feature when extended. Overall, nice hinge that opens and closes well. Good functionality if you don't take into consideration the no locking feature.

Small but strong! It was really hard to move these by hand. I attached two sheets of 1/2" plywood that are 40 inches by 30 inches and its a little to heavy to hold it upright but strong enough to handle the sheets moving back and forth.

I was looking for a set of hinges for use with my model railroad layout. I will be using these for Lift Bridge that runs across the room’s entrance. Because it is very important that the lift bridge always aligns the tracks perfectly, the hinges need to be tight with no end play. And these torque shaft hinges are very tight indeed. Once installed, they will ensure smooth operation of the lift bridge. I think they are a little on the expensive side, but they are very well made and do serve a special purpose that ordinary hinges cannot. Therefore, I'm glad I got them.

This hinge was beyond stiff. It wouldn't bend at all! Returned

These hinges are well made of corrosion resistant stainless steel. The hinges are designed to have friction along their travel with the idea being that whatever you are using will stay in place where you set it. Great for folding table tops like at a sailboat's navigation station, or folding tables in RVs. I am impressed by the quality for the price. These look like they will last a long time.
