Ronseal DHDSPR250 Diamond Hard Doorstep Paint Red 250ml

This is good paint for outdoor steps . Value for money, good coverage. Dries quick. Easy to clean of brushes.

Darker shade of red but not brown, typical brick colour, covers well we did give it two coats, silk effect not matt or shinny gloss which would be a slip hazard for sure just a sublime glaze perfect. Looks great on the step of a anthracite door above. 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Not used yet weather too wet

Despite my reservations that the paint might not be suitable for use on wooden doorsteps due to conflicting inforation on the selling page, I tried it and it does work very well on wood. It goes on evenly and has a good finish with a light gritty surface which acts as the anti-slip surface. I had to use two coats on bare wood but one would probably suffice on previosly painted surfaces. The brush can be wasked in warm soapy water.

Painted the porch and no peeling or scratching hard wearing and looks great

Its more dark red, appears more stronger and durable then rustins red door paint. But time will tell. One tin was just enough to do 2 coats but boy was it close! I was scraping the bottom of the tin. I would recommend getting a bit bigger or two tins, its not something you want to run out off half way.

Saw the tiny tin realised I’d ordered wrong size for our two wide steps. BUT I managed 2 coats, about 1/4 to 1/3 left. Gave excellent coverage (use thin coats) and some weeks later it looks really good. It’s a deep red which is what I wanted as some are too orangey. Went on really easily I’m very happy with it.
