Perfect for what I need!!
Worked very well as a steam iron on my pants made from rough heavy material. The steamer is large and bulky for a handheld but I suppose it's because it can be used as a steamer iron also. It has an extremely large steam output on the high settings. The directions recommend using tap water because it contains minerals. Instructions state that using water without minerals such as distilled water and purified water can cause a low steam output and goes on to explain in detail why. My review is based on me being 1st time owner of a steamer.

Trusted brand and high-quality product!
After comparing a number of garment steamers from different brands, I ultimately chose Rowenta and I’m very glad I did. Rowenta has been making garment care products for a long time, and that reputation for quality and reliability definitely shows here. The steamer feels well-made, heats up quickly, and does a great job smoothing wrinkles from shirts, suits, and other clothing. I also appreciated that it comes from an established company that stands behind its products with a warranty. Overall, it feels like a much more trustworthy and durable option than many of the newer brands on the market. Very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it.

Portable and powerful steamer
I’ve had it for a few months and this is a very good steamer. I’m able to remove wrinkles quickly and easily. It’s light enough, doesn’t taken a lot of space to store, and given the settings work as intended, I’m able to get the job done with few passes. The boost mode produces a lot of steam which is great for some stubborn fabrics. I’ve also used it as an iron and because the ironing plate is small, I’ve noticed it works best with light fabric items. Thicker fabrics require extra time. I am considering getting a separate iron just because it would give me more ironing surface and heat control in general. I frequently end up not using the attachment. I didn’t add much value in my experience, so I don’t think it was worth paying extra for it. I’ve used it for vertical steaming and not so much for ironing as it rubs against the fabric and moves it out of place. Overall, I’m pleased with my purchase and I recommend.

A Staple in my House
The build quality is typical Rowenta, which is good despite being built in the PRC (designed in Germany, but built in China). Our Rowenta iron has served us for well over a decade now, so I’m partial to this company. The size is what I expected based on the photos I’ve seen in some reviews. Some users may find it a bit on the large size, but seems appropriate to me given its purpose. Weight is appropriate for its size, but if using it for an extended period, it can seem heavy. It heats up quickly and steam output is solid. I haven’t gone above medium setting and it has produced excellent results on various fabrics. I read some complained about the reservoir being difficult to remove/reinstall and the hole being too small… I honestly don’t see the issue here, but everyone is different I guess. I’ve had zero leaks, but I don’t tend to use it on a flat surface, but rather with items that are hanging. A staple because I’m not always in a position to pull out the Iron setup and it’s just more convenient to use the steamer. Very happy with my purchase!

Efficient and effective
This steamer is amazing. We rarely ever use an iron anymore because this is so versatile and effective. It has an incredibly powerful level of steam, so it can be used on all fabric types. It steams very quickly and saves a ton of time before work or events. It doesn't take very long to start up and is very easy to use.

Always check the box!
Item is missing the clear water cup which renders it useless. Scratches on top when I opened the box for the first time.

OK. Wouldn’t ‘highly’ recommend it
Would not endorse this item. I was too lazy to box this back up and return and missed my return window, so now I am stuck with it. Firstly, it’s a weird ‘on’ system— so somehow I never know if it’s steaming, I have to keep the button pressed, and it just lacks basic UX features. Secondly, it’s very heavy. I don’t think I am un-fit, but it exhausts me to have to steam clothes. Lastly, because it’s not very UX friendly, it should function as an Iron… I am not sure how to make it do that. I have tried to iron button-down shirts (btw it’s not bad at this)— but it’s also not good at it? For nearly $100 I thought this would be an awesome all in one iron and steamer. It’s a good enough steamer, and a good-enough iron but it’s not great at either in its current form.

I bought this Rowenta hand steamer and it only worked once. The plug is not compatible with standard outlets, and when I used an adapter, it immediately burned it. I tried two more adapters and even a power strip – all got fried. Now the steamer doesn’t turn on at all. Extremely disappointed and honestly concerned about the safety of this product. Used only once and it’s completely useless now.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING PURCHASE. I got this “fancy”’ steamer thinking it would perform great but instead it broke merely a month of usage. When it finally started working again after leaving it untouched, it stopped working correctly ever since. I had a cheap steamer before which lasted 2 years with no failure. Save your money and get something else.

It's heavy, but not an issue for me with my dress shirts. Will save me on dry cleaning bills and time ironing.
