I recieved a used item on a 'new' listing. this still has food flakes in it. the packaging was put back together so poorly and was still shipped to me. the power cable has been kinked even! No happy with the reselling of not just openbox but used items with food in them.

This device does more or less when it says it does. It's a little bit tricky to get it set up and understand how it works. But once you do, it's really set it and forget it. And the edit camera on it is actually pretty cool. I was having an issue with the software, and using Amazon chat with the company itself, they actually fix the app in real time. Customer service like this is hard to find. I would definitely tell people to buy this!

Great idea but keeps disconnecting from router preventing me from using the device when I’m not home which makes it essentially obsolete

I think this feeder is much better than the more common varieties, but perhaps not enough to justify the price tag at around $100. I think $70 is better. The camera is really cool. Be aware that you are unlikely to be able to catch the whole aquarium in the camera. I have it on the end of my 90 gallon so it comes close, though things on the far half are pretty tiny in the camera. The quality is high enough to tell if things are fine, but you aren’t going to post it on YouTube or something. The app is basic but has worked fine. I switched to the smaller feeding hole and it still fed far too much. I modified it by making that hole even smaller and now it feeds an appropriate amount with a single revolution. I get a constant error for “starved feeding”. It doesn’t clear until I unplug the feeder and plug it in again, but there’s no point because the next feeding triggers it again. I’m feeding a small amount of food and have enough in the hopper to last a month so there’s no actual reason for the “starved feeding” to turn on. Clearly the machine wants the hopper to stay very full. It’s got a spot to put desiccant which is nice. It plugs in via USB which I find annoying. My aquariums don’t come with USB ports so I had to trouble shoot this. The issue of having to figure out how to plug something in with USB is a common issue nowadays. The camera connects to the feeder via a proprietary magnetic plug and is hard wired at the camera end. For cord management, I really needed another few inches of cable but there’s no option to solve that. No big deal, just my camera cord goes diagonal across the glass. There are a number of these sold by different brands. Hygger, specifically, sells one of these. I’m very confident all that look identical are the same product under different brands. So pick the one that’s cheapest as you’ll get the same thing.

All function work perfectly and so easy to install. Quality of the app is much better than expected, easy to use and no bugs so far

The product stops working after two months of use. Do not recommend at all!

I was surprised at how much this feeder weighs. I read the listing, but until I held it, I just didn't think about it. I like that it's got two options for the food to drop out a small hole or the bigger hole. The camera was pretty easy to set up and it really does suction on super easy. The dispenser lid options were hard for me to snap on and off, but my hands are acting up with arthritis. The food cover with the desiccant is an extra touch that I wasn't expecting. Everything is working and now I feel more comfortable leaving the house sitter with the fish. They're picky and don't like changes in routines. I can get them used to seeing this and getting a new routine before I have to leave. This means that they won't be affected. I like the idea of keeping tabs on them via the camera app. This auto feeder from EC Technology is a great way to capture my fish and keep them feed routinely! It holds quite a bit! 12 out of 10 would gift to another fish lover!

Just an all around nightmare of a product.
